Good for you - my wife is like you and it has been a real blessing. The ability to take pleasure in life and people, and be real (warts and all), is undervalued. You can't take it with you. You understand a lot about people when you realize that most do everything in their power to "look good, or avoid looking bad". How can you love others and be available for them, if you do not love yourself. Be kind to you - we are indeed our own worst enemy. Take simple pleasures.
