Sharpen your pencils for the September writing contests
― I've been lately Google-ing like a lunatic, on my search for writing contests that would suit my fantasy short story. Most of them require reading fees (between 9$ to 30$), word limit (for short stories the word limit is between 3000 and 5000 and my short story has around 6500 words), some of them are addressed exclusively to US, UK or AU citizens, a few impose even an age limit (either 18-37 or above 40) so, there is actually a very small pool accessible to most of the aspiring writers.
