― I've read about Tarot decks with an extra card, the intent of which is for a sacrifice that purifies or activates the deck. I like this idea a lot. Destroying a card by fire to appease the Tarot Muses seems extreme to me though, so when I write the documentation that goes with my deck, I will employ a kinder and gentler notion.
