― As a teenager, I had a clear vision of my future. ∙ There was this old grey building with an ornate exterior and flower boxes at the windows. It was located in Downtown Vancouver, and to me it looked like it was the oldest building in the city. I liked its character because Vancouver, being a relatively new city in comparison to those on the east coast of Canada, had little in the way of characterful buildings.
