Hello Iain! Back with feedback. I had a look at your blogs and I think they're good.
Couple of questions: I'm not sure why you have so many when you're repeating the posts in them? Unless you've got tons of time and energy, maybe just concentrate on two, one 'everything' blog and then your anime blog.
Are you maybe testing the different designs to see which works best? The only one I'm not wild about is the design at: http://geforce.efx3.com/
the screen goes dark as I scroll up and down; I've noticed that at some blogs and it makes drives me round the twist. Maybe some people like that effect, I don't know, but I find it distracting.
Other than those minor points I think it's good. What is your concern? Some of your blog posts have a very particular audience, so you may find limited participation until your target your special niche of people with those interests. I don't think it's so much as question of right or wrong as it is a question of what you want to write about and how you want your blog to grow. It's really up to you.

I changed black to white @ EFX3. This is by far most comments I got in 7 years of blogging in a month. I went 36 months without comments (only advertisments)!

How did I get a 9.0 at ISGB2 blog and a 8.0 on iainthegreat? They're clones. I thought i get comments from wordpress on the iainthegreat blog, comments from efx3s, and comments from Blogspot on ISGB/ISGB2. It's a failed strategy.
