Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? From the onset of the Kelly trial the prosecution was presenting their so called facts in an arrogant manner, with name calling, degrading and derogatory statements towards Kelly. This case seemed to have lots of inconsistencies and contradicting testimonies against Kelly. Even police were seen to be racially bias as well as the court, after being caught in their inconsistencies and not handling the investigation in a professional and efficient manner. Witnesses came in saying they were speaking the truth under oath, only to get caught up in what seemed to be a stretch of the truth. As the trial went on the prosecutors became more dramatic and seemed to be coaching the witnesses with head nodding and exaggerated hand signals. It seemed to be that the prosecutor’s goal was to gain the sympathy of the jury and not present a solid case. How could twelve people listen to the testimony that was given and come up with a guilty verdict and not see that there is reasonable doubt? When it came to the end everyone was shocked. No one saw Kelly being charged on any counts of murder after sitting in the courtroom for almost two weeks, unless you were the family of the victim acting in less than a considerate manner. This case seems to have more to it than a young man being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
