I'm a 20-something Harvard graduate and Le Cordon Bleu Paris trained chef who loves cooking, entertaining and all things fabulous.
People constantly ask me why I decided to go to Cordon Bleu, and whether I’ve always wanted to be a chef. Considering the fact that prior to Cordon Bleu the only thing I had ever cooked was a burnt grilled cheese, it’s safe to say that I have not always aspired to be a chef. Truthfully, I just wanted to move to Paris and become a little more domestic. Now let me tell you, domestication is a long and often difficult process. But after my time in Paris, I’m almost completely housebroken! Now that I'm back in New York City, I cook, I bake, I entertain, and I’m loving (almost) every minute of it. The truth is, you can do all these things too. If I can domesticate me, you can definitely domesticate you. And I’m here to help! Don’t be intimidated by my French lifestyle or my fancy culinary training. I get up every morning and put on my pants one leg at a time, just like the rest of you. Except they’re chef’s pants.
I created my blog to share recipes, tips, and all things related to cooking and entertaining. Mainly, I just want to spread the joy and hilarity of being a little bit domestic. We all know that cooking and entertaining can be made simple, cheap, fast, etc., but mostly, it should be FUN. So gather your pots and pans (and maybe a drink), crank the tunes, and get ready to be DOMESTICATED.
