My name is Speed Scarbro. I am 34yrs. old and live in West Virginia with my wonderful wife and 2 daughters. I have a blog about chess that focuses on chess benefits. Writing my blog is very relaxing to me and I love working on it. I try to keep it updated daily but sometimes I do not reach my goal. I could not do this without the support of my family. Chess is my passion and starting a chess blog only seemed logical.

Chess playing kids improved their test scores by over 17%. Compare this to only a little over 4% for those engaged in other enrichment activities. This proves chess has a place in our education system.
