Are Teen pregnancy shows glorifying teen pregnancy?

When I was growing up you were looked down upon if you were a teen mother. Now more and more it seems as if its cool to be a teen mom; like babies are the newest fashion accessories. Every time I turn around there is a new show about being a teen parent. Why is this a good thing? What are we teaching are children? Some people would say that its better to expose young people to this and not ignore what is going on in the world. I agree are children do need to be aware of what has become our reality but they do not need to believe that this is some kind of trend. SO lets compromise I support television shows on teen pregnancy such as "Secret Life of the American Teenager" ( a sitcom that comes on ABC Family channel) It discusses the possibilities and the life after making choices about being sexually active or not. It makes are young people aware while at the same time not making it cool to be a teen parent. On the other hand we have shows like "Teen Mom" ( a reality show on MTV which shows the life of teenager mothers.) This show too shows the difficulties and choices of being a teen parent. However, the key difference between the two shows is that with the sitcoms these are actors and actresses the same cast every week. We are following up on the choices that they made. However, in reality shows every week there's a different teen mom. With society now becoming more and more obsessed with being famous; doesn't this encourage teen pregnancy. It makes young girls believe that they too can be on a TV show and famous if they were to be a teen mom. At the end of the day I guess I support the idea of sitcoms discussing the hardship of teen pregnancy but I am not fond of reality TV shows showing what its like to be a teen parent.
