10 Traffic Tips to start promoting your Blog

1. Social Bookmarking- Digg, Reddit, Stumble Upon, Delicious, Jump Tags, Etc... Social Bookmarking will give your site some nice high PR backlinks.
2.Guest Post - Contribute articles to other bloggers with high traffic and post a link back to your site.
3. Podcasting- Create a podcast using Podomatic.com and create a podcast about your site or topics within your niche. Submit that podcast to podcast directories like Itunes.
4.Video Marketing- Create a video or slideshow about your site and submit it to as many video sharing sites as possible.
5. Social Media- Interact with your fans on Facebook, Twitter,and everywhere else. Don't Spam! Take notice on how other companies are doing it and follow theri lead.
6. Get your website reviewed- Submit your website to sites like ratemysite.com and greatwebsiteguide.com.
7. Join Traffic Exchange sites like Entrecard
8. Convert your blog posts into a pdf document and submit it to sites like scribd and docshare. (Thanks for the tip Satrap of Blogstash.com)
9. Join 5 Forums and write 5 posts to each at least 3-5 times per week. Include your website link in your signature and once again, do not spam!
10. Combine all of the posts on your site and create a free ebook and then submit your ebook to as many torrent sites as possible. People download free stuff all the time. Imagine 500-1,000 downloads per day with your link.

I think using video channel brings in high number of visitors and traffic. I'm yet to post a video, but certainly it is top on my list.
