A strong Alexa rating does help me to determine the strength of someone's advice as I read various blogs. You can improve your rating by registering your blog for free. It's a place to start.

Thank you Paula. I just wasn't sure if a lower ranking would be better. Mine is still high regardless. I didn't know the effect it would have in my site.

Yes, Indeed alexa is very important since great your blog or site is. register to alexa and claim your blog. :)

I would say alexa is important, but also inaccurate. A lot of affiliate marketers will look at your alexa ranking to see how "worthy" you really are. But it is also inaccurate, because your backlinks are only counted when someone with the alexa tool bar visits the site. If you want a good alexa ranking, you need backlinks from quality trusted and popular sites.

There is no such tricks to increase alexa you can only do some things like promoting your blog and writing good articles with unique content which readers are interested in reading.
The thing is that more the readers/visitors higher alexa ranking.
