Does Blogging pay the bills? Are you in the process of becoming a full time blogger?
Does Blogging pay the bills? Are you in the process of becoming a full time blogger?
I am not a full time blogger. It is a hobby for me. I am not monetizing properly related to the time spend on blogging. The main reason, my blogs are not acquired enough traffic. If the traffic is picking up, my efforts will see results, no doubt.
At this time it is a part-time endeavor, I am not earning money with my blog but it is more about building an audience and communicating my passion at this time. Eventually I would love to earn money and write full-time.
I am not a full time blogger. I blog during my free time, so I just randomly will spend whatever time I have available throughout a week (not every day) reading, commenting or communicating with others (which is very important) I also only post once a week. I'm much to new to look at earning any money. I want to first be a good writer of posts.
I think the only way a blog will pay bills is if you can get enough traffic, sponsors and people to pay to place ads, then it will pay bills.
www.abeautifulmess.typepad.com is a great example. She charges almost 900 bucks for some adds on her site and people are dying to do it because she gains SO much traffic.
I don't get paid, yet I keep trying. You really have to throw yourself out there to get huge.
No. It's just a hobby for me also. It's quite fun, and it helps me build my grammar. LOL
Blogging for me is borne out of passion and strong desire coupled with the amazing inspirations I get everyday.
Blogging for me is constantly changing into a full time business and entertainment. My dream is to become the Most Renouned Blogger in the universe just like the owner of Facebook.
I intend to turn my hobby into a FULL timed business.. I blog and research every 5 hrs daily, therefore I can know where it is really taking me into. Recently my blog has been a money spinner for me cos ve been able to settle off some bills.
Am a Happy Blogger anyway
Join the Club.... ops! I guess that's why we are here!

I am not, and never planning to be... I am blogging as a hobby , not trying to make money out of it.
I am a part-time blogger but have realized there is potential in blogging after I started getting traffic. Will be shifting to professional blogging soon.
I'm a full-time blogger finding my way on how to know the "ins and outs" of blogging online.
Working as a full time blogger require so much from you... Can you post up to 10 articles daily?
I started blogging as a hobby way back 2007 but its just journaling experiences, I placed some adsense on it and after then I never check my adsense account. Then last february of this year out of boredom I was reading some seo keywords research for work related stuffs then I stumbled to checking my adsense account, guess what I noticed my adsense account owed me about 86 USD. It's one of the reason why I'm giving 20% of my time in a day for blogging.
To answer your question, yes blogging can pay bills but of course it will take a lot of effort and focus.
I am trying and would love to see results. But mostly, i just write out my thoughts on stuff.
I'm a full-time blogger but it doesn't pay the bills by any means. Blogging has, however, provided me with other opportunities like freelance writing & styling, consulting, and magazine editing that supplement the income I would love to come from my blog. The problem is: it's like having 2 or 3 full-time jobs just to make it.
It's more fun in blogging :)

It's strange but I do it as a kind of work. I'm always thinking about the next post and sometimes while doing something I think I could share at my blog.
when I don't publish a post I feel guilty. Than I say to myself that... IT'S NOT A WORK! ARE U CRAZY?
lol
I'm too boring.
I'm a full time blogger yes, I earn more then I used to in my 9 to 5 job. I mostly make money with advertising, sponsored posts, reviews and affiliate marketing or promoting other people's products for a commission :)

A hobby for me! at first I don't like it. In the end I love doing it... but I am planning to do this professionally, blogging will be my portfolio for my future career. Besides, its fun... it helped me quit spending on online games...
Nope, I am just a part-time blogger but I must say it's very time-consuming. :)
I like your question. My interest in blogging was to earn an income that would be a good surplus AFTER PAYING THE BILLS. None of my blogs brought me any income. I do enjoy filling in and updating the blogs.......... for the values it give society, but nothing in income came my way. http://perfumewell.blogspot.com and http://airandyou.blogspot.com
Currently I am a part-time blogger but very soon I am gonna be full time. Started making decent money (not good enough for me ;)) but I know I can boost that a little more.
