As to decorations, i don't plan. I buy things depending on how i like them. Not to match them with the previous bought items. Works for me :-) You can teach on that.

Thanks Positive. Recovered fully. Christmas this year I completely have no plans. am not in my country, so, would try to celebrate with the locals.
I absolutely LOVE Christmas, but it seems to have come around soooo quickly this year! Putting our tree up on Saturday - we never do it before December hits as we buy a real Christmas tree....i just love the smell of the pine!
As for decorating, I generally buy something new each year...the house looks like a grotto...lol. I have lots of things that I have bought when I was travelling so its nice to get those things out once a year and reminisce ;0)

Christmas time is wonderful and it is going to be even more meaningful for my family because we are welcoming our first daughter any moment now.
Christmas time is such an important holiday for me because it has for the most part brought so many positive memories. It is also the time of the year where I can reflect about my current situation in life and celebrate the time with my family.

I love and am ready for xmas, but man I'm tried of it creeping up sooner and sooner. I'm already burnt out on the songs. Luckily I was able to not put up the tree until after thanksgiving, so here in the house its starting at the perfect time.

Well, I am finally going to start my Christmas shopping this weekend. I just had to avoid Black Friday as it's just too crazy for me. I actually do love this time of year in NYC. Everything is decorated and so much is going on.
Must try to avoid gaining weight with all the bad holiday food and egg nog!
