You need to get commentluv and start commenting on blogs in your niche. Join blogging communities and share others' posts on facebook, twitter, etc. This will attract bloggers to your blog and you'll find them doing same to your articles

I do get a few comments on each of my posts which I'm very happy with. But, I also do a lot of work by visiting other blogs, leaving valuable comments in regards to the posts I read whenever I can. Some blogs don't always require a comment though but I do read many posts.

Lets see, I post 4 times a week, get anywhere from 1 to 6 comments per, I'd say.... I get probably an average of 2 to 3 a day? Maybe?

4 times a week is not bad but you'll have to give more time to promote one post before the next one come up.

20-30 comments per day but most of them are SPAM. So, had to do hard work.

Why not start by moving to a self hosted domain? This places you in a better position

1-2 per day for me if I'm lucky, May not be that much but actually hearing people say that the post makes them laugh is enough to keep me smiling until the next post ^^
