I agree, whatever interests you. If you're creating a blog to earn income, then check on trending topics to find out what's popular that you also have enough knowledge of to create content.

if you want to choose best topic for your blog, i give you a very simple example...
write always what you like and in which field your master.
if you are master in ELECTRONICS, make blog about electronics because in your field nobody can touch you...
