BLANKETED SILK IM IN

gabriel jackson on POEMS, LOVE, MEMORIES, CALLINGS

distant road that calls me home
horses run Rome, thatched back lash and eye
drips that bubble crack mosaic form
we the free, pocketed couple in fright
snug about threaded inside tight
were they blue, indeed, white and clayed
sharp as ever these little razorblades
You hue "I drink it" in fixated desire
You scream out for me to touch
of this hesitance, reluctance
abrasions and cuts, this thorn
as delightful is to bleed
You watch it run down
yet happy to see, proof it hurt
petted rail
remember well
every time
melted
silver blue gray
spread out forefathers sweat
we are sheathed and slick
like the surfer in the sky
between fingers, rubs and sigh
curl and fall
shooting past stars
riding the galaxy
