Blog Carnivals - Does Anybody Still Use Them?

Joella on Blogging, Blog, Carnival, Opinions

I'm toying with the idea of running a Blog Carnival. But is anybody still using them? I wonder how many participants I'll get. Any opinions? Ideas?

Here is a definition from http://blogcarnival.com

A Blog Carnival is a particular kind of blog community. There are many kinds of blogs, and they contain articles on many kinds of topics. Blog Carnivals typically collect together links pointing to blog articles on a particular topic. A Blog Carnival is like a magazine. It has a title, a topic, editors, contributors, and an audience.

It's suppose to be a good way to get new readers and to connect with other bloggers.

Serving goodies would be a bonus if I could figure out how. LOL

It's beginning to sound as if I should do this. It could be fun.
