FlagCounter: counts the visitors from various countries you get and show the flag of the country along the counts.
StatCounter: counts the visitors on your site and display the total number over time you have.
SiteMeter: Keep stats for your site- for example how many people visited your site, how much time they spent and how many pages they viewed and such.
First two is kinda showcase for your site. Second one is you can use to get a better idea yourself and improve as per your expectation.
You could put a FlagCounter and use SiteMeter- since they filling two different purpose for you.

All these are crap and please stay away from these...Why? Because their statistics are not accurate and won't help u in the long run...
Solution: Use google analytics...its free and gives u accurate data and lots of info to increase traffic

Yes Google Analytics is only good solution for tracking your traffic. Don't use any flag or other widget because some visitors may think that you can track them individually and they don't like these things (specially who are not familiar with these things.)
