'Clickable' links

Epi-Log on Blog, Link, Blogger, Epi-Log, Tech, Email

Am having techy trouble with my blog Epi-Log (http://epi-logger.blogspot.co.uk).

Usually when I email the blog to a friend, the link is live/clickable/sends them straight to the blog.

Occasionally, it doesn't arrive with a clickable link so they either have to copy and paste to see what it's about - or not bother because all that takes a lot more time than just clicking on a link.

Doesn't seem to matter whether the recipient has a Mac or PC and yesterday, for example, a friend said she often gets email with a direct link to a blog/website - but not mine.

What can I do? (My blog's on Blogger).

Any advice would be much appreciated because I want Epi-Log to reach as wide an audience as poss.

How did you send the email, I mean do you use some third party service like Mailchimp or Aweber? If the answer is yes, they definitely have options to provide links to your article in your email.

You could use HTML to send the link for example

Visit my Blog With that code your link would appear clickable.

Dammit They stripped out the HTML on this site. here look here for what I typed: http://pastebin.com/8reXKyvd

Binny - I didn't use a third party. Possibly I'm being a bit thick here! But there are a couple of opportunities on Blogger to email direct to friends. One is when you've written the post, another, at the bottom of each post are a list of buttons and email is one of them.
That's how I did it. Do you think I need a third-party service?

TeKGoblin my HTML isn't up to much. How do I learn more?

Visit the link thatTekGoblin. He has already provided your clickable link there. Just copy-paste in your mail.

Yes, using href tag to link is the better and simpler option.

This is the absolute best site to learn this stuff on http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_links.asp

Thank you both

-and sorry. What is the href tag?

Casey ∙ 43 weeks ago

Example:

This text is your link

< a>This text is your link

Obviously the http address is your blog's address or whatever address you want the link to go to. In a browser and most e-mail clients "This text is your link" will appear as a link (blue/underlined) and be clickable. The stuff around it will not show up.

PM me if you need more explanation.

Bloggers stripped out the ending < / a > in my previous reply (I put spaces between the characters so it wouldn't be stripped out this time.
