i think any kind of relationshp wud work if right values are observed..yes, it is really risky 2hav a long distnce reltnshp as oftn ppol wud say..but i strongly beliv dt f u RESPECT ur partner, dstance s not a question..

The honest truth...it doesn't. Because, by nature no one wants to be alone. It all depends how much time is involve. If there's a commitment plus a set time when both will be reunited then that's more realistic....if not...don't put your hopes up...sorry to disappoint you.

I have had several filipina friedns who have gotten their foreigner lifetime partners from on line dating sites and so far their relationships have worked. Not so smoothly at first because of the culture barrier but more so at a later stage when the couple were developed to each other. It takes a lot of effort,perseverance, and dedication to maintain a long distance affair because you meet in a not so natural manner-which is the net.

You meant mail order brides? Well, off course that's an exemption because whoever is on the other side of the world (bride) she will make sure that relation works. it's a chance of a lifetime...why not...she will wait no matter how long it takes. In this case there's a time set for the couple to be reunited. So, the situation of the long distance relation is just temporary. If you're talking of a long distance affair now that's different....that's not a relation...it's just an affair. which is which?

.if you meet somebody there in the NET it would be difficult to know if he/she is who you want! but if you meet somebody there personaly and you beacame lovers it would not be a big problem if ever a guy/gurl decided to go anywhere. just talk.

thank a lot to all the comments... it is really indeed very difficult to be in a situation like this, that you have to wait for the right time to actually meet and all you have to do as of the moment is to trust and love each other as much as possible, i dont know how to explain but everyday my love grows which i hate it for a fact that im scared to be hurt.. but for now i am just enjoying the moment that i know i am love... no matter how far the distance is.. TRUST, LOVE & PATIENCE that's the foundation were building, until one day we can be together...

thank a lot to all the comments... it is really indeed very difficult to be in a situation like this, that you have to wait for the right time to actually meet and all you have to do as of the moment is to trust and love each other as much as possible, i dont know how to explain but everyday my love grows which i hate it for a fact that im scared to be hurt.. but for now i am just enjoying the moment that i know i am love... no matter how far the distance is.. TRUST, LOVE & PATIENCE that's the foundation were building, until one day we can be together...

Finding love is so difficult & special that I think when two people know it is there, the bonding of the heart will carry them through. Internet love is so new and we know so little of this alternate way of relating. I write a lot about virtual reality love because it is more experienced than just one dimensional chat relationships. The internet provides many ways for lovers to keep their relationship alive until they are able to meet.

In many ways, these relationships recieve more attention than actual real life experienced ones simply due to the time one sits down with the computer and devotes to it. Real life commitments, obligations, schedules do not seem to interfere as much. Your man may not get around to calling in the business of a day but he'll make time to be on the computer with you. In many ways, it is more convenient. It lacks the physical bonding we all long for, the touching yet that can be experienced in a feeling way in 3-D virtual reality. Not quite the same but feels the same. I'm a great believer in love. If it's the right person for you, it will work.

They seem to work most of the time.It actually helps some time because whenever u meet u r at the best of your behaviour.You tend to ignore anything you don't like.U want to make best of the time u have and want to take best memories along with you.BUT their is big but!!!

all of you are right.. it really depends on the both of you, if you really are into it and really are ready to face any of the hardships and the circumstances that will come your way... it is so hard to be in a situation like this.. but i decided to go though with it because i believe in the LOVE we have for each other.. and i am praying for the day to come for us to be together...

Yes, it does. I am a witness to several good long distance relationships that had worked despite the distance. But, it takes maturities of both parties. Communication is not a problem. We can communicate thru SMS thru cell phone we have landline phone and the most important thru WWW. ;)

yeah i hope so we can really get through, waiting for that one day that we can be together. i am preying for this eventhough a lot of things that will discourage me but i cant explain in some point i dont wanna ket go.. it maybe hard to explain but i want this...and i am sure .. hehe..thank you for the answers
