I do enjoy poetry very much, unfortunately I don't have the gift to write it on my own. I guess I tend to over-explain things.

I used to have that problem of not having the gift because I wanted to over-explain things. I think its important to learn how to get past that, and learn how to simplify a thought down into something like poetry.
Not that I'm saying its for everyone, but it was a big step in my evolution as a writer to be able to do such a thing.
