Do you get Writers Block?

Angry Larry

How do you deal with it? You really want to write something but the words just won't come out.

I deal with that all the time. the best thing to do is come on a site like this and read others blogs. Reading a variety of blogs can be great inspiration.

not really .. I browse a lot of art during the week (one of my procrastination tools) and that usually gets me inspired to write something. Images can be very stimulating to the senses.

Cut everything off and let your mind flow. No radio, no television and do nothing but sit there and think about what your blog or website is about and go from there. You will see it is much more easier to concentrate and focus on what you are doing then.

Just the other day I wrote a blog post about writers blog, had it published on another website. In the end, I just stop, take a breath, and look around. If that doesn't work, then its out to the hammock to read. in the end, a thought will come. I've no doubt.

Not really. Just walking around the city and experiencing life gives me many ideas.

There's so much going on around the world on every imaginable topic so how could you ever get writer's block in this Internet age. It really is the reverse problem. How to select from all those possible topics what you will home in on and post. I make a short text file of each idea as it comes on to my 'radar screen'. However I only use about one in three of these ideas as blog posts.

I get that everytime! Not just for writing but even on what to draw...thing is I guess most of us get it is because we always want our posts to be unique and different from everyone else...the other factor would probably be the style of writing it...even if the subject matter is always a challenge.

What is the solution to that?No effing idea!Just comes in randomly...sometimes I post things based on my experiences or just happen to close my eyes and have my lightblub on the top of the head just go *ping* all of a sudden with something. XD
