DO YOU KNOW WHY ?

Teddy on Help, Blogging, Lifestyle, Love, Fun

Do you know why it is hard to get a response to your blogs ?
I have my theory.
1. Could be the subject matter.
2. Could be that they have no answers.
3. Could be that its to deep or not deep enough.
4. Could be, that in the process someone will begin to get to know them and have less admiration for them and lower their self esteem.
If the limitations of someone is only in the field of blogging methods, then in the broad form of their life very little can be offered.
Come on guys, give me some insight . add to the comments here.
I take your advice seriously and will use it if you are sincere.
A friend here, gave me some real good advice, but let me hear from you to.

Response as in Traffic or Comments ???

For Traffic - you need content that is hot and being searched on the internet. For this reason personal blogs get very less traffic as No one searches for - "What Mr XYZ did today" on Google :)

For Comments - possibly u you don't give your visitors the opportunity to comment. (Only spammers comment saying "nice post" while dropping a link of there website and there is a very good chance they didn't read your post).

To encourage comments write on topics people know about or find something worth knowing. End your post with Questions that you feel readers can comment on .....

PS - I have experienced that readers avoid giving the first comment. The tendency to comment increases with the no of previous comments !!!

1.Visit blogs that are similar to your blog and l leave valid comments about your thoughts on their post, but it must be valid. I immediately remove any spam comments from my blog. You can recognise this by the spammer saying wonderful things about your blog but in reality it does not have anything to do with your post at all and they always leave a big link behind.

2. Good content is always important. Always do your best.

3. If you are interested in a blog, then why not follow it? Let the blogger know that you appreciate what they are doing too.

4. Don't get hyped up by traffic. Some people are only into numbers and if you get into that game, you may find your content suffers because of it.

5, Don't spam others, they won't like it. Otherwise when you do something good, they will ignore you.

Teddy, just a few things I could think of but hope it helps in some way.

Although I see your point and it makes very good sense, I also know that people buy books on other peoples lives, even if it is fictional. also I remember that as a boy I was fascinated with the experiences of others, especially those who have been to war.
Unless I just don't recognize it, I thought that I always expected people to comment . There is a comment area there to use if they want. HOWEVER, I SEE THAT YOU DO KNOW WHAT YOUR SAYING THOUGH, I CAN SEE IT IN YOUR EXPLAINATION . But for me, my weakness is how to recognize WHAT is worth knowing and do I know anything about it. Sometimes, if you have seen any of my post, I have been fishing ( so to speak ) to find subjects that interest others. its hard. Any tips ? ALSO, How do I find hot topics ?

I do want to thank you for your input. These are the things I need to be successful. Your Friend Ted

First of all get your priority straight - You blog for Money or just for the passion of writing ?

Well..... if u blog for money a 1000 visitors daily is less but if you write out of passion - a single viewer that has fully read your post is much better than a 1000 viewers who came by accident and soon left.

If its about passion for writing then anything around you is a HOT topic. just grab your thoughts and start writing and as Rumpunch Drunk said - Don't get hyped up by traffic .....

Good Luck ... Happy Blogging

IDK Teddy...I posted a talk about how people were blaming Obama for the shootings that happened on the East Coast and I found a few people to respond. Other then that, not much. Yet when I mention how I got banned from FB, people wanted to jump on me. Why is that? I banned myself on purpose and then did a test. So far, my test showed that, people respond when THEY think one is an idiot. America thrives on drama and loves to complain when there is too much drama. For example, "Oh I can't STAND those Kardashians. Why are they famous? All they do is fill there life with dumb s**** " Of course. Yet we still watch this. Why? There drama. and people love to gossip about drama and how stupid the next person is. I guess its what makes one feel better about themselves; this is what America thrives on and why were seen as the most shallowest country. I bet, (if nobody reads this comment) if I post something about the way I view something, and explain it like I don't have a brain cell, someone is going to bash me. If I respond back with a stupid response, the fire is created. =)

Teddy, including Rumpunch, I say we form a "clique" on here and I'll inbox you the rest. It may be a good or bad ideal but might catch--- you know what nvm. lol

Teddy ∙ 20 weeks ago

Went to bed at 2:30 something, I couldn't keep my eyes open to respond here, but now I'm awake.... somewhat lol.
Shahzad is right, in that we need quality verses quantity BUT I believe there is an undeniable fact here and that is what LA Green said . PEOPLE DO THRIVE ON DRAMA. it is what sells ( apart from sex ) on tv, newspapers and magazines ANYTHING that has to do with drama sells and there are our hot topics , Right Shahzad ! LA Green, We do form a clique and I'll be waiting for the inbox letter. WuuuuHuuuu its working !!!!!!

Am actually on a quest to make my blog more interactive. I have tried and failed several times at this en-devour and the advice being provided here is truly worthwhile. Thank you Teddy for raising the question in the first place.

Most of my topics come from what i here people talking about and the questions they ask. I then proceed to share my point of view to that particular topic. It's a formula that has worked for me thus far.

Am not sure if i would take LA Green's idea of responding to my comments with a stupid response would work on my blog but i sure is a creative way of eliciting a response from viewers!!

As per Rumpunch Drunk's suggestion, I am yet to find a blog similar to mine where I can post valuable comments but am still searching! I really love the idea of sparking up a discussion with like minded individuals!

LA Green ∙ 20 weeks ago

@ Patrick..oh hell no I would not advise that. lol but it was an example as to what people will respond to. lol my first post in the talk section was a poem about how water takes the shape of anything it get's next to and humans can do the same done with much practice. A Lovely yet beautiful poem I found in a newspaper and I cared to share it; not one response.lol Why? It was boring. you couldn't talk about it. Yet let me make an arse of myself and in the next day WALA! like a magician waving his/her wand, people begin to show; as a new company forming, I'm trying to stay away from that because...its a negative light...but thats a whole different talk...probably going to be one I post soon.

If the content is routine one...when whole of the world is writing about 12/12/12 and you also write that.. Why will someone be interested until unless there is something very personal...
People don't like fakers.. The content should be genuine...not a copied from Internet

You have to respond to your commentators... Once they see you responding to their comment they will come back and comment again.. If you don't they will never comment again as they feel like it is talking to a deaf person..

A Brainless Nod ∙ 20 weeks ago

All great points, all the way down the comment line. Comments beget comments, and being genuine is key. Have to have quality stuff that people would want to comment on, and it helps to ask for the reader's opinion.
