Do you need help promoting your blog?

Proud Liberal Slut on Blogging, Promotion, Marketing, Backlinks, Starting Out, New Bloggers

I just started blogging a few weeks ago at the end of August, but I've found some pretty decent success with promoting my blog Adventures of Proud Liberal Slut, and I'd like to share that success with some of the other new bloggers out there!

If you are just starting out the first thing that you need to do is get a Facebook fan page and a Twitter! Those are key for promoting your blog! If you're using Blogger to write you blog you should also be using Google + for blog promotion. Once you have these three basic accounts set up you are ready to go for the more advanced stuff.

I have a list here: http://liberalslutadventures.blogspot.com/p/updates-and-announcements.html of a lot of the things that I have done in order to market my blog. Most of those sites have links along the sides of my blog and I encourage you to click on all of them! Some of them are better than others for promotion, but just about any promotion is good promotion when you're first starting out.

If you have a blog that is similar to mine or you have a story of your own adventure as a Liberal Slut please feel free to contact me and I may add you as a guest writer on my blog or include your blog as a back link :) Being a guest writer on other blogs is a great way to promote your blog and increase traffic!

I love it .I think I should have been keeping a blog several years ago when I was quite the "liberal slut " ,I would have some stories to tell!

Very good advice to all those out there. One thing you need to mention is just have quality content. You write so personally and so well its hard not to enjoy your adventures. The name will draw you in, but the honesty will keep you there.

Thanks for the great information and have just started to use this site.

Not sure if many of the members on this forum have walked much of East Yorkshire or the Yorkshire Wolds, however I've just set up a blog of walks in the area which I hope shows some of the walks available.

I'm new to blogging and therefore not as professional as others but just wanted to promote the area as I think sometimes it's over looked by many - The area does not have the dramatic hills as the Dales/Lakes but the scenery and walks are superb.
