Do you believe that you think for yourself? What most influences your thought and do you question "Authority."
I LOVE to think for myself and do it always. I also usually always question authority whenever possible.
Always.
My thoughts are influenced by what happens around me, by what I read and what I see.
Always.
It's a delusion to imagine that anyone thinks for themselves all the time. We are all influenced by the thoughts of others. And some people never have an original thought in their entire lives. I like to think that I have had a few original thoughts over the years, but I'm well aware of what has influenced me too.
I question "authority" all the time, especially if I think that authority is not to be trusted.
That's a really good question Scarletta. Because, I believe that I do think for myself, but I must remember that some of my views etc may have been influenced from other factors throughout my life. I do sometimes question the reasons why I do certain things, and think down a certain way though, especially as I grow older.
When it comes to 'authority', I do question things that I don't agree with, as it's not good to follow blindly.
All great answers. We all have outside influences, however, it is the recognition of this and realizing that thinking outside of the box and outside of that which is "popular" with the masses at the moment that distinguishes a person from a herd of sheep.
I believe I think for myself, though I don't always voice my thoughts, as they might go against the grain or society around me. I tend to disagree with most everything I see in life, and am happy to have formed these opinions and thoughts through my own take on things I have been educated about.
