Do you TRUTHFULLY follow the people's BLOG'S who follow you BLOG?

Sachin Varde Borkar

WE GENERALLY DON'T APPRECIATE WHO REALLY HELP US TO GROW.... WE TAKE OUR PARENTS, TEACHERS, PEER GROUP, RELATIVES AND SOCIETY FOR GRANTED AND WE EVEN TAKE G O D AND HIS PRAYERS ALSO FOR GRANTED. ..... SO? WHAT ARE BLOGGERS WHO FOLLOW US? ........ THEY ARE JUST DIRT RIGHT? .............. BUT UNDERSTAND ........... IF YOU DON'T FOLLOW THE BLOGGERS WHO FOLLOW YOU........... OVER PERIOD OF TIME THEY WILL WITHDRAW THEIR FOLLOWING AND YOU WILL BE LEFT WITH .............. BIG BIG ...............AND I MEAN BIG........ HORSE SHIT.

I only follow blogs that interest me and I intend on reading. I don't play the I follow you if you follow me game. Its useless!

I'm with you 100%. I follow a few blogs whose authors don't follow me, and I follow only those blogs that I actually want to read. If anyone wants to follow me then that is their choice. The follow you / follow me syndrome is an empty bargain.

PS - Generally it's considered rude to be typing in capital letters as it comes off as you screaming, it's just considered common courtesy.

I follow those blogs who interest me, but 9 out of 10 times I've followed back. When someone follows me I assume they're interested in what I'm doing, I would never expect someone to just follow me if I've followed them ... I think it's rude to just expect that from people and don't think it's proper blog etiquette anyway. But I do certain things to let everyone who follows me know that I appreciate them, for example always replying to their comments, and I regularly post a thank you on my twitter :)

I hope I didn't come off being rude! I didn't mean too! Usually when I follow someone its because they write about the same things I do and are interested in the same topics. So not only do I read their blog articles ect... but I link to a lot of my followers because I am formilar with how they write how often ect... so I am more likely to link to them then a random article on first page in Google.

Errmm Tamron my comment was actually a reply to the original poster and not yours ;)

I seriously doubt that if a blogger enjoys your content, they would withdraw their following just because you didn't follow them back. Readers stop following due to:
lack of topical posts
lack of posts in general
not responding to comments from followers (no more blogger-reader interactions)
lots and lots of advertising, and very little original content in comparison.
I completely agree with Tamron, the follow me/follow you mentality is destructive, and ultimately useless, more so than if you followed someone because you enjoyed their work.

follow for a follow is the biggest nonsense ever.
Like Tamron said i follow people who is worth to keep track of.

The one thing about the silly buttons here on this site, is simply they are kinda ambiguous. I only have clicked Follow on the blogs I truly do Follow.

Thanks! Everyone for contributing your valuable comments! & I know they are genuine BUT the reality is that many of the bloggers who follow you always write on the wall to follow them. @ DressedInTheCity I wrote the opening in caps because I wanted to make it different and wanted everyone to take a note of it. Anyways! I was talking to one of my friend bloger and this topic emerged.
Anyways.... Thanks a lot to everyone.
Take care, Be good and Always help others.
