GoodCook on Blogging, Time Consuming, Busy, Life, Lifestyle, Blogger

Do you feel blogging just soaks up all your time and at the end of the day you feel- who those were fast 5 hours?!!! Do you feel that with so many sites and links and following etc to do, and managing everything posting and so on, just leaves you drained many a times? I do...Has anyone found a solution yet? Don't ask me to give up blogging though :)

lol It does take up some time to do a blog post for me as well but they are well worth it. I feel productive whenever I post something new! :)

I think it's about perseverance and organisation. If you blog daily, you should always be one step a head, as in knowing what you want to write about. However, you should never feel pressured into to writing just for the sake of it, because I used to do that and that was when I found that I would spend so long stressing out about things I need to write. You should split your day up, give yourself a couple of hours to blog, and spend maybe 15 minutes at a time, looking for new blogs, commenting etc.

Bekka , i think you're right. :) mine is a food blog. There are already so many online, so sm days i feel a constant pressure. Then i realise its all for fun, so i relax then! Smtimes thrs so much thr to write about but sitting with the laptop fr so long is sure to be problematic for our eyes! :) how much time do you all usually spend blogging in a week?

Oh yes, I have to set time aside when I can to blitz the blogging world but it is fun.
Once you start it is hard to stop, and hours do seem to fly by, so I am careful about how long I stay reading, commenting, etc...

it's true blogging does take up quite a bit of time... as mine takes at least a few hours a day... It is quite stressing when its like a day before publishing and I have a dozen of frames too go >.< But once done I tend to feel relief and then stress about if its OK for the readers haha XD

Have to say altho its time consuming its nice to eat food and hanging out with friends ^_^ (as that is where I get the stories/idea from) so really there is up and downs in blogging but oh well XD

My actual blog hardly takes up any time, as I can crank out blog posts quickly. Its the networking part that's eating my time.

Yeah it does but once you hit the publish button, you will also have the time of your life.
It doesn't matter whether people read your post or not.

Scanning and editing the old cookbooks can be. Usually I have a plan and a system. I made a 1932 cookbook a topic this weekend and it took hours. Then while I was editing it, I hit backspace and deleted the whole post. I redid it and the second write was better! It just depends but I love to publish and see the finished product.

Blogging can eat up your free time if you're not organised. I blog for fun, but I try to write and queue at least 2-3 posts so I don't spend ages every night coming up with original content. I don't see anything wrong in it, I still spent a lot of time following up on the comments, checking out other blogs etc!
