Fifty shades of Grey

Ladyornot on Fifty Shades, Subject, Audience

My recent blog was a humorous take on the book Fifty Shades of Grey.I didn't even read the whole book, I fessed up on my blog about it. http://ladyornot.com/?p=428

My question to you, do you find blogging about topics that many are posting about better? Do you prefer to write something vastly different. Of course the context will be different but I am speaking only of the subject matter. Do you write to your audience?

I still see blogging as writing essays and posting them online. I think its a great way for someone to take a topic they like, and write an essay about it, as opposed to going onto a forum, and just adding yet another comment in a long line of comments.

I write to my audience in a way, I think of what I want to read; something with passion, something well thought out, with a nice opinion that I may or may not agree with, something that's just nice to read. So in a way, yeah, I write to my audience, but I think of my audience as myself...if that makes sense.

I understand that. Each person blogs for different reasons. I have many friends that blog in the same way.

I write humor and satire for my website/blog. Those subjects are meant to be shared. No one wants to laugh by themselves. That said, I sometimes write essays like you and post them in other places.

Great success to you! ((hugs)) Becca
