Following a bloggers let me 'follow' what they are doing (comments, votes, talks) etc here on bloggers from my dashboard. It shows same for Friends. I think it's a label that makes sense sometimes.
I cast a vote if I found someone has something nice, photo/bio or the blog! If I like something about you, I would vote. If it's feel interesting I would follow.
I don't know why people vote for me though!

Beanizer makes friends with almost everyone (with or w/o blogs)
Beanizer follows interesting people..(every hing they do are reflected on your Dashboard)
