i hv always heard about getting traffic from social network site linked in, twitter ,google+ ,facebook and much more.
but i only get my traffic from google search engine and some from fb.
when ever i posted about my blog article on fb. It didn't get as much likes as my status .is there any another way to post the link on fb.
Have you tried posting it on a Facebook Page or a Google+ page?
I get most of my traffic directly from my friends going directly to my blog from time to time. Sometimes its through Facebook, and sometimes its from Google+. The rest of the time, its through Bloggers.com. :)

Stumbleupon is also an amazing source of traffic, If you use linkedin well you'll get lucky and capture more traffic

the blog itself. if you keep on writing quality content (by quality i mean all-original, properly punctuated, good grammar, minimal or no typographical errors), people are more likely to visit your blog site over and over.
Generally through Twitter! If you get some nice people to retweet, and your work is good enough you can land a few views.
Facebook, Twitter, and commenting on other's blogs has helped. Content is key too. Posts need to be an interesting topic to your target audience.
I get my a lot os traffic from Discus comment comunity since i added discus comment bar on my blog and second is Stumbleupon and google search drives most traffic on my blog .

i get mine mostly from google as well although I do get large spikes frome FB from time to time. I usually write about health and some of the fitness classes I'm taking and sometimes people who are interested in the classes I take share my stuff. There was even a time when the official FB page of a crossfit class I'm taking shared my post and that got me hundreds of views in a day.
So as long as you stuff is shareable and interesting, people will share and like it.
Depends on which of my blogs is considered. Google traffic is predominant and growing, but I have significant sources from subscribers, hubpages, FB, and speciality sites related to the blog topic. Twitter has never done much for me at all, and Pinterest is still just a blip.

I only get traffic from google , bing and yahoo. then the rest is on Q&A sites like answers.informer.com
