I really don't know, dear, to help you in this question. But..why you are so anxious?? Its a great joy to express yourself, in any way, through your blog. You are doing this because that makes you happy and also because you want to share... So, why you stuck on numbers????
Numbers are just numbers without soul.
In my opinion, if you we are running behind the numbers then we are loosing things that they really worth in life.

Simple, write unique content, optimize it well, let it rank on Google....and you could be having thousands.

For me I created a facebook page. Then Ii invited everyone I knew to like it. Also create an event for it. After that I just update my page every time I get a new post. It catches on pretty quickly.

Do social bookmarking, share your post on facebook / twitter ,and active in Bloggers.com :)

Make a Facebook page, invite all your friends to like it. Get yourself on Twitter too, it does wonders to your site stats! Talk about your blog to your friends and family, promote it as much as you can. It takes time in the beginning, but the word can spread pretty quickly! Good luck.

This question was very easy to answer 5-7 years ago when i first started blogging, trust me i tried a lot of things, had the ups and downs but from my experience one thing: Unique content, don't just write to be out there, write because you love it, give some passion into it.
Doing this you will have followers, when theres followers theres comments, FB likes, twitter followers, share's etc.

All blogs takes a while to grow but bloggers can definitely help each other to grow
Commenting on other blogs is a good way to start with.But no Spamming please .We should respect and give meaningful comments, not just comments.

It take time more than anything. You will have to wait. I started out like you and after 2.5 years I can have 2k-25k a day sometimes.
