Hello! I have noticed that a lot of people recommend giving something away for free in order to build traffic and subscriptions to their blog.. That said, I am offering a free book-of-your-choice on my site but I haven't seen the traffic I was hoping for (I have an increase in clicks but not people signing up).

Have you done a giveaway? How did you promote it? How successful was your first one?
