I'm a vegetarian & have been for 20 years. I don't tell people or get in their face to be a vegetarian, sometimes people do that to me, to not be a vegetarian. I feel awesome, look young for my age & never get bored, there are so many food choices.
I do cook meat for my family, my daughter is a vegetarian, like me, but the rest of the family isn't. I do wish we all were vegetarians, but let them make their own choices.
There is a lot of research about the health benefits of being a vegetarian, including much lower incidences of heart disease, cancer & on average 6 years added to your life.
The best benefit, for me, is that it is kind. I never feel guilty for my part in how slaughterhouses treat animals, for how unkind animals are treated. I'm doing my part to be kinder & healthier.
Best of luck & hope you make the decision that is right for you! (:
