I thought this might be interesting. I want to know how many active users are in bloggers. If you an active users, type in active in the comments section and let's see how many people we can get. BTW feel free to drop links for websites, blogs and etc. I like to meet new people and view different blogs.
@Rob I'm not active on here at all. lol @Princess lol yeah it is...I went to sleep for a few hours and I was right back on here. lol But I did get some rest. lol
Come on Bloggers, I know there's more then five active users in this community ...Don't be shy. =) Plus this is a chance to drop your website, connect with different people and we can see how big of a community were are. It always nice to know the numbers...and don't cheat. I could go to---never mind, just in case nobody has thought of that already. =) lol
If you see this, visit www.lagreenmarketing.com and please give a thumbs up on FB. I will in return, do the same for blogs or anything else...so where's my bloggers at? I know there's more of you out there. =)
The reason I started this post is because I'm curious as to how many people are on this site. I could Google the answer but it won't be accurate; reason why? They will give me the number of how many people are on this site, not how many active users there are; huge difference. I have a method to my madness. lol
@ Phil, I know there has to be more then this. So far I've counted 16..you being 16. Hey Phil I like your blogs. It took me right back to NY. I like the Harlem one...a lot of people don't pay homage to Harlem; I think most people think Harlem and think ghetto, crack town...which yes, that is one of the darker sides to Harlem; its evidence spills over on the Upper West-side when you leave Broadway and head over to Amsterdam Ave right at 100th and Amsterdam; but that's where the color of Manhattan begins. =) Speaking of Amsterdam Ave, have you been to a Restaurant called Caridad? It's a Dominican and Boriqua spot; the food is great!
I'm here and active too! Well howdy ho to this super Saturday! I hope you are enjoying the weekend and getting to do some fun family activities! Be sure and put a note in your snood that TEEN WEEK starts Feb 1st on the Makeup University blog with MASSIVE giveaways and celebrity guest blog posts! See you soon! Ciao ciao for now! Sincerely, Cherelynn http://makeupuniversity.blogspot.com
I am new here and trying to be active. New to blogging, too. http://shelleysallofmeblog.wordpress.com/ This is my first attempt at blogging and hope I am doing alright. I would love some feedback and friends. :)
Shelley no worries I'm still fairly new myself. One tip about bloggers, normally in the talks section is were you meet a lot of people. So your doing just fine. OH! another rule, try not to become a spammer. Spamming a person's page will may get you the complete opposite of what your trying to do. =)
Don't know if you could categorise me as active.. I visit from time to time, but don't interact much with others.. Don't know why to be honest though..
@Glifik It still counts. In this situation a non-active user would not have saw this. There's plenty of people on here with accounts that are just here. An active user could just say one word yet their always online doing something. There's somebody always online. BTW Bloggers we are up to 20 people in our community. =)
Last I checked, I think we were @ 21 active users...anymore active users? Feel free to leave your blog site, web page, or anything along those lines. =)
It depends what you mean by active... mornings are not good for me as they're the leading cause of tiredness. Anyway... http://weirdn-wonderful.blogspot.com
Active! So hard with the limited free time, but Im trying to be active! I have a blog about Naval History. Its written in Greek, but with the Google transaltor Gadget everyone can figuered out what I'm posting. http://perialos.blogspot.gr/ I do the same with friends that have their blog in a foreign language. We all are busy. But, I believe, wiiling counts... Have a nice day, Christy
@The weird guy... active means out of seven days, fours of those days your on here. May it be working on a blog or posting something on here. It can be a sentence, it can be for less then five minutes, you may never post in the talk section and just add friends and read the talks but your still active.
Ok Bloggers are new count is now 30 active users. Yay! I know there's more of us out there. This is a good way to meet people and have a conversation; we do want to know the people were dealing with. =) So as usual, go ahead and leave your blog, website, Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and etc. Let's show the world the power of bloggers. Numbers is power. Hope to hear from you soon. =)
when you get a chance my fellow bloggers visit www.lagreenmarketing.com and I'll leave it up to you if you want to give a thumbs up on FB. lol It;s not a command but I would greatly appreciate it if you did. Umm...so were staying at 30 bloggers tonight? =C
@Michael Tips: When you write a blog, make sure your blog is of good content. Pick something your passionate about and knowledgeable on. Use the talk section as a way of meeting people; try not to spam people's pages with come and visit my blog; the more you do that, the less likely people will go and visit. So make an actual connection with people; start a conversation with people. In my opinion, the community is split between bloggers playing the numbers game and bloggers who are on here really trying to connect with people. I mean you probably will not converse with everybody so at some point, you'll find yourself playing the numbers game but find a balance. If someone responds back, more likely there wanting to know people, if they don't, its a numbers game with those people; in a nut shell know your audience.
32 bloggers in six days....that means on average there's about 5 people online daily. lol. I know there's more I'm just joking, feel free to leave FB information, blog and etc.
Were up to 36...let's keep it going. Everyone knows the routine; well most know the routine. Feel free to leave you information; think about it like this, the more people that respond, the more exposure for you; and plus this is a thread that's allowing you to do that. So why not take full advantage? visit www.lagreenmarketing.com and please Oh pretty please can you give me a thumbs up on FB? =) lol hope to hear from you soon... =)
were now at 37...=) Thanks Shawn....let's see if we can push it up to 50 by the end of the day bloggers. That's 13 more...I think we can...there's a lot of us who are active just shy... =)
@ Scarletta, that is a good question. That's why I'm pushing this thread as far as it can go. I know there has to be more then 38 of us on this website. It say's "meet millions of bloggers" before you log in....now that could be just advertising, but there is over 10 pages of people on this site; but how many are actually active? So far, excluding myself, it's 38 active people. I know there's way more. It has to be. lol
It's going good Mike, just raining over here in Los Angeles. Mike where you from? speaking of home, anyone on bloggers from the Los Angeles or L.A. County? you know...Pasadena, Inglewood, Long Beach, Arcadia, El Monte, Norwalk, Whittier, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, San Fernando.....any of those areas on bloggers?
@ Andi yes sir there are millions of active users from what it says but I do doubt that...lol so far 39 people have shown their active...that's a low number. =/
Not a prob pinoy...bloggers were up to 42. How's everyone been? I've been mia for a few days and a little stuck on what to write. I've been working on my blog...check this out guys, I kind of got a promotion at work! I'm a little proud of myself...however it's just a test run to see how I work in that department. But still have not lost my vision for my company. Ok hope to hear from everyone soon.. =)
we are up to 46... @ Tom I'm glad you dig this community. It's a pretty good community and you actually do meet some nice people here and talented people. Hope to hear from you soon.
Hello la green, I'd like traffic for my blog. I'll suggest we both comment on each others blog on a daily basis. The comment must be good and constructive. This will increase not only our Alexa ranking, but also the Google page rank of our respective blogs. I hope you consider my proposal. In the mean time, check up my blog http://techallianz.info
Samuel I will look into that and yes I'll take up on the proposal. As for now, I really don't have a blog.=/ I'm currently working on one and in hopes I will have it posted with in the next month or so; I have really been brain dead when it comes to blog right now. I wrote something a few weeks ago and completely lost all sight and ambition for the topic. When have something solid and ready to go, I will let you know. How's your day or night going so far? oh and were up to 47 all my fellow bloggers.
Thanks Tazein and thanks Karen! we are up to 49 users. out of curiosity, and this question goes for everyone, has anyone checked out other blog sites that are posted on higher up on this thread? There some really good blogs on here. Okay bloggers, let reach 60. lol I figure 50 is around the corner.
I am an active blogger and my two sites are http://airandyou.blogspot.com and http://perfumewewell.blogspot.com My other blogs on http://bedroomupkeep.blogspot.com and http://uivwinlife.blogspot.com are not that active.

Bloggers we are up to 54 active users. @Immanuel extremely new or extremely old to this site, your considered active even if you only post once a week. If it's like once a year maybe not but for the most part, your active. Has everyone checked out the other blog sites up above? If not check them out some real good talent. Oh and btw, if your new to this thread and read this, check out the recent bloggers that have posted on here. How's everyone doing? I hope all is well. Working on my blog and will soon have it up and going. Bloggers we are up to 57 yay! How is everyone doing tonight/day/afternoon? I hope all is well...So what's everyone's opinion on the Chris Dorner case going on? Does the rest of the nation or world know about what's going on? If not, let me update you. Hope to hear from you soon. =)
Ok so if you haven't heard about the Chris Dorner situation here in LA, they found Chris body in Big Bear; the cabin he set on fire. They found Mr.Dorner with a bullet in his head which they say they think may have been self inflicted. I normally don't route for the "bad guy" in situations like this but was he really the bad guy? I guess in order to understand were I'm coming from, you would have to live in LA to understand why every says the LAPD is corrupt; What's your opinion?
What is going on today's world? It's almost as someone has opened the portal to hell and demons are escaping at a rapid pace. I was looking at the news and saw there was another massive shooting in Orange county; for those who might be unfamiliar with So.Cal, Orange County is next door to LA County. My point: This has got me back on my mission....What can we do on a daily basis to make sure mass shootings are cut to a minimum? I'm aware we can't save everybody but if we see the signs, do we ignore it or do we try to help that person? I know there are evils out there in the world and sometimes, even talking to that person or getting them help may not work but this doesn't mean we should just give up. Bloggers share your thoughts and also leave your website, blog address as well or anything this thread is mainly for that and exposure. Hope to hear from you soon.

Bloggers we are up to 103 active bloggers...this community is big but I know it's bigger then this...@ Lauren, not a prob always willing to help out my fellow bloggers..were all trying to get some kind of exposure but we need a leverage; so why not create one right? =) This is the leverage, just have to keep this talk alive, the more people that show up, the more traffic you may begin to receive. How's everyone doing?
Hey what's going on everyone? Sooo we have some champion bloggers on this thread...that's really impressive! I'm not sure how many people are on this site hence the title of this thread but to be voted number one, is an awesome feat! Congrats! Ok...so I had a question for all you fellow bloggers out there....I was at work, and came across this thought: When a trend is new, some people dis-like it, as the trend dies down and a new trend emerges, that becomes the new thing to dis-like; all of a sudden, people begin to like the old trend that was dis-liked...for example, there were plenty styles and dance moves in the 80's and 90's people didn't like...now today, some people don't like today's trends but may something like, "Everything in the 80's or 90's was better then today" Why? My point: Do we like something because it's older and it doesn't seem as bad as let's say the "new Harlem shake" or is it we as humans are that clique-ish? What's your view?
We are up to 109 bloggers....How's everyone doing? So, in the latest news, Goggle has created something called Goggle glasses. The glasses are practically a computer on your face. The glasses will allow you to connect to to your smartphone or Wifi; you can also use your finger to take photos or video with these glasses......(Dean sighs) I see TONS of bad arsing from having these glasses...I also see the good but WAY more bad...What do you think of Google coming out with what is practically, Android glasses?
110 active bloggers...there can be many pros to having Google glasses but these glasses are goingbto invade privacy to the max...on th glasses, there isn't a red light showing that your being recorded...so at anytime you could be being recorded and not know...there's still a lot of kinks Google has to work out...
112 active bloggers...Bloggers, has everyone in America become overly sensitive? I know were not suppose to poke fun at others but McDonald's recently released an ad that "mocks" mental illness advertising the big mac. Honestly, have you seen how some people look when they eat a big mac? Better yet, how some people act if they don't get their big mac? It's not just the big mac, it's anything people have a strong desire for. I don't think the billboard was making fun of manic depressives or depressed people at all, I think they were trying to show it as "someone being depressed over a burger, it must be that good...but hey if you are, your not the only one out there who loves the big mac." It's silly...nobody get's depressed over not having a big mac...America, we have to lighten up and know when to laugh...
114 bloggers...Good evening/Morning/afternoon everyone. How's everyone doing? Hope all is well...drop your blog here and keep this talk alive...want a little more exposure, your in the right spot. =) Hope to hear from you soon.
116 bloggers and we everyone we have a newbie in the community...welcome Katie. =) So is it ironic that the bombing at the Boston Marathon today just happened on Tax day? Do you think it was our normal terriorst, N.Korea, or another American that we didn't help in time? Either way, we need to be our difference aside....
We are up to 119 and to everyone that is new, Welcome to Bloggers. We have some really good bloggers on here so feel free to scroll through the thread. =)
up to 129 bloggers...here a little info for the day...it may or may not help you. Death from heart disease and stroke have dropped by 50% in the US since 1981. Deaths from heart disease and stroke in the US have dropped by about 50% since the 1980s. This us thought to be due to fewer people smoking, more people maintaining healthy diets, and improvement in screening and treatment. Despite this, heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the US, with about 2 out of every 1,000 people a year dying from it. Not everyone here is from the US but it's a little bit of an incentive of what not to be like. =)

Were up to 130 bloggers...Kay have you ever had musubi before? It's an awesome dish gotta try it. How's everyone doing today/night? I hope all is well. So today ladies and for fellas as well, I'm going to share with you guys a little information that may or may not help you..
A wife should be 27% smarter than her spouse to have an ideal marriage, according to Geneva Business School researchers.
Researchers from the Geneva School of Business have developed a formula for increasing the chances of having a long-lasting and happy marriage by up to 20%. It's based on a variety of factors that tend to impact most marriages: age, cultural background, and intelligence. Ideally, the husband should be five years older than the wife and they should share the same cultural background, but the wife should be around 27% smarter than the husband, though a range of being 13% to 35% smarter is acceptable, according to these researchers.
Hello fellow bloggers. As usual, I will try my best to post different and diverse information on a daily. Remember: The key thing to blogging is inspiration and most of the time, information may come from learning new things; when something new is learned, everything in the brain is sparked including long term memory in a different way.
Converting traffic-lighted intersections to roundabouts can reduce serious crashes by 78%.
Roundabouts, the circular intersections where traffic flows in one direction at low speeds, might be significantly safer than traffic-lighted intersections. Converting an intersection that has traffic light into a roundabout has been found to reduce vehicle crashes with injuries or fatalities by 78%. The types of accidents that tend to cause the most injuries and fatalities are right-angle or T-bone crashes, left-turn crashes and head-on crashes. Roundabouts are designed so that all vehicles travel in the same direction, so the risk of these most-common, potentially serious crashes is decreased. A roundabout is a type of traffic circle, but not all traffic circles provide the same safety benefits, because some permit higher speeds.
Contrary to popular belief, Thomas Edison did not invent the light bulb.
Although American inventor Thomas Edison is widely credited as being the person who invented the light bulb, he actually improved upon previous inventions to create the first commercially efficient, widely used light bulb. The creation of the light bulb is thought to have begun in 1800 with Italian inventor Alessandro Volta’s invention of the voltaic wire, which provided the first electrical current. That same year, English scientist Humphrey Davy created the first electric light. Throughout the next several decades, it is estimated that as many as 20 inventors worked on inventing a long-lasting incandescent light bulb. In 1979, Edison became the first to succeed. His bulb could burn for about 1,500 hours, compared with previous versions that lasted only minutes.
I just joined this week, but I PLAN to be active if that counts :) Looking forward to checking out other blogs and meeting you guys. http://wearychef.com

Pregnancy can make a woman's feet permanently longer and wider.
Pregnancy might change the size of a woman’s foot permanently. A University of Iowa study examined 49 pregnant women and found that about 60% of them had their feet become wider and longer. It is thought that this might be the result of the hormone relaxin, which helps the pelvis become more flexible in preparation for birth. Relaxin might also affect other ligaments and joints, such as those in the foot. This flexibility, combined with the additional weight of pregnancy, might cause the arch of the foot to become flattened.
On average, firstborn children tend to be taller and thinner than their younger siblings, research shows.
Birth order might affect a person's physical size, with firstborn children being more likely to be taller and thinner than their younger siblings. A 2012 study -- which can identify trends but cannot prove the causes -- looked at 32 firstborn children younger than 12 years old. It found that although the firstborn children tended to be taller and thinner, they also might be more likely to have higher blood pressure and lowered insulin sensitivity. These conditions might serve as risk factors for developing cardiovascular diseases and diabetes as adults. Researchers believe these differences from birth order could be the result of the uterus getting more nutrients after a first pregnancy because of improved placenta function.
About 1 million "Earths" could fit inside the sun.
It is estimated that about 1 million Earths could fit inside the sun. The sun has a diameter that is about 100 times the diameter of the Earth. The sun is a sphere shape, so to determine how many Earths could fit inside, the difference in diameter has to account for three dimensions: from top to bottom, left to right, forward to backward and everywhere in between. Since 100 Earths could line up across the sun, this number is multiplied by itself three times -- 100 x 100 x 100 -- to calculate how many Earths could fit inside the sun.
137...and you've come to the right thread. I try to keep it alive so that people can find all of these blogs. There's quite a few people on here you can make connections with so you'll see me up here a lot...I also started another thread similar to this one but I don't think it's doing so well; but if you want, you can post on that one as well...be one of the very first people on a fresh thread.
All of the water in the atmosphere would equal about 1 inch (2.54 cm) of all of the world's oceans' depth.
The Earth's atmosphere does not contain a large amount of water. Its estimated volume of water is about 3,100 cubic miles (12,900 cubic kilometers), which is roughly just 0.001% of all of the water on Earth. In fact, if all of the water in the atmosphere was released at one time, it would equal only about 1 inch (2.54 cm) of the world's oceans' depth. The atmosphere’s function with water is more transportation rather than storage. As water evaporates, it converts to vapor, which then moves into the atmosphere. Once there, the vapor condenses into clouds, which then release the water as precipitation to get back to the Earth’s surface.
Scientists identify about 15,000 new species each year.
Each year, scientists identify about 15,000 new species of animals, plants, fungi or microorganisms. It is estimated that about 86% of existing species on Earth have yet to be discovered or identified. That percentage might be even higher for ocean species in particular, because scientists have more difficulty exploring water. Scientists often concentrate their species research on biodiversity hot spots, which are areas that are rich in biological species but are at risk of losing habitat areas because of human actions. These include regions in the Congo, the Himalayas, California, India, Australia and the Caribbean.
check out www.lagreenmarketing.com and give a thumbs up on FB and I will follow on your blog. As a matter of fact, as long as you keep posting on here, I will keep this thread alive for others bloggers to come and find you.
" Embarrassed about having big hands, Fred Astaire focused on disguising the size of his hands whenever he danced.
Fred Astaire, a dancer and film star recognized for his successful musicals throughout the 1930s and 1940s, is widely considered one of the best American dancers of all time, even though he was self-conscious about his hands, which were large in comparison with his frame. He believed that his big hands were distracting and did not look graceful enough when he danced, particularly in more elegant forms like ballet. Astaire took careful measures to disguise his hands while dancing, such as placing his third and fourth fingers on top of one another and curling his hands to make them look smaller. Videos of Astaire’s dance routines can reveal the ways he minimized the appearance of his hands."
I am active . . . it's just that I take awhile to start writing again. I would write like crazy for a couple of weeks and then nothing for months or even years.
"It costs about 11 cents to make a US nickel, but less than 6 cents to make a dime. The cost of producing a US coin depends on the specific coin. Quarters and nickels, for example, each cost a little more than 11 cents apiece to create, and a dime costs a little less than 6 cents to produce. A penny has a production cost of more than twice what it is worth, which has led to debates over eliminating them. In 2011, the average cost to make a penny was 2.41 cents. Although US coins are not made of precious metals, the cost for each coin generally depends on the size of the coin and the market price of the metal from which it is made. Quarters, dimes and nickels are made of copper and nickel alloy, and pennies are made of copper-plated zinc."
Mothers who have sons might have a shorter life expectancy than those who have daughters, according to a study. Having sons might cause women to have shorter lifespans in comparison with women who have daughters. A study of Finnish villagers from the 17th to mid-20th centuries found that for every son a woman gave birth to, her life expectancy was reduced by 7%. It is thought that perhaps boys are larger at birth and cause more strain on their mothers’ bodies. Another possible explanation is that breastfeeding boys might take more of a toll on women than breastfeeding girls. Some researchers believe that gender of children is not a factor so much as the number of children a woman has in her lifetime, as well as her age, her social and wealth status and her access to proper nutrition and healthcare.
I'm active. Please visit my blog to see my countdown of top 10 mother's day commercials. www.delvatonicsmedia.blogspot.com. Feel free to comment and suggest TV commercials I missed.
I'm convinced it's a very low number of people who are actually active. Likewise, if you want to count up the number of people who can write posts without saying 'OMG VISIT MY BLOG SO THAT I CAN HAVE MORE TRAFFICS", you're likely cutting that original number by 75% or more.
149 bloggers...@ Absent well everyone on this thread has to be active to some extent, even if it's only promotion and none of the post are substantial post; the point is, there active. I'm almost sure this post will not reach all the bloggers on this site or some won't even post on this page; I'm actually glad you came on this post and started up a conversation. I want to know and actually meet some new bloggers; every now and then, I'll throw questions out or facts out to see what people's opinions are....
The Komondor's coat is the heaviest of any dog, weighing about 15 pounds (6.8 kg). The Komondor is the dog breed that has the heaviest fur, with a coat that weighs about 15 pounds (6.8 kg). Within the first two years of the dog's life, this breed generally develops long cords of hair that make it resemble a mop. Komondors have historically served as protectors of sheep and cattle flocks, and their hair is thought to have served as camouflage to help them hide from predators. The heaviness of their fur can also be a risk factor for external parasites, ear infections and foot irritation. Even though the breed has such long and heavy tassle-like hair, these dogs actually shred very little, but they require careful grooming to separate the cords to prevent matting and tangling.
151 active bloggers...check me out at www.lagreenmarketing.com and please give a thumbs up on FB. In return I will keep this thread alive and my other post; I'm only one person but I will follow but this is a popular thread a lot of traffic comes through here.
Part of the reason people think airline food tastes bad is because the altitude affects our taste buds.
Airplane food might taste bad as a result of the air pressure and humidity levels during flight. High altitude and air pressure can decrease a person's sense of taste by about one-third. Airplane cabins are set to low humidity levels to prevent corrosion of the airplane body. The low humidity levels can dry out a person's nose, which can contribute to a reduced sense of taste. Airplane food also might taste bad because it must be prepped, frozen, dried and then reheated, or because of budgetary concerns that prevent the use of high-quality ingredients.
About 90% of nurses in the US are women, but men in the field earn more money.
Male nurses earn more than female nurses, with female nurses making $0.91 US Dollars (USD) for every $1 USD that a male makes. This income gap between genders is smaller than the average across all occupations, which is $0.77 USD for a woman per $1 USD for a man. Although they earn higher incomes, men account for just 9% of the nursing workforce. The difference in income between the genders in the nursing field is thought to be partly because men might be more likely to work full-time. Men also tend to be more likely to be employed in higher-paid nursing occupations, such as nurse anesthetists, whose incomes typically are about four times as much as those of licensed practical nurses

Learning a new language as an adult might cause part of your brain to grow in physical size. Physical brain size has been found to increase in adults who learn a new language. The structure of the brain remains the same, but certain parts might increase in size after an in-depth language study, research has shown. The main change typically is to the hippocampus, the structure that is responsible for memory, particularly converting information from short-term memory to long-term memory. Other parts of the cerebral cortex, the brain's outer layer that is often called gray matter, might be affected, depending on how much effort a person has to put into learning a new language. A Swedish study found that people who learned a new language more easily had larger growth in the superior temporal gyrus, which is related to language learning. Those who struggled were more likely to experience growth of the middle frontal gyrus, which is related to motor function.
So today in Portland Oregon, a cop was about to end up a high speed chase. As we went to go chase after the speeder, a family of ducks were crossing the road. He slowed the car down, got out of the car and guided the Mother ducks and her babies to cross the road to safely; that has warmed my heart for the whole day. That's what the world needs every now and then...
Beer goggles don't make people look more attractive - they just make the "wearer" less picky, according to research.
To someone who is drinking alcohol, other people do not become more attractive, rather the drinker's standards are lowered, research shows. This goes against the popular “beer goggles†phenomenon that states that alcohol makes the “wearer†see other people as transformed to appear more desirable. Alcohol is instead thought to decrease the mental selection process that people normally go through when deciding on a mate. When sober, a person might have a set of criteria that they prefer potential mates to meet. When a person is under the influence of alcohol, the part of the brain that is wired to find a mate is still active, but his or her judgment is impaired.

The number of people enslaved around the world is estimated to be 27 million - about the population of Texas. It is estimated that 27 million people are enslaved worldwide. That is about 0.3% of the world's population, or the equivalent of the population of Texas. There is no definitive method of tracking the number of people engaged in forced labor, so the exact number is not known. "Enslaved" tends to be an umbrella term that refers to a person being forced to perform a job to which he or she did not consent and from which he or she is unable to escape. This occurs globally but is thought to be most prevalent in Southeast Asia, Africa and Latin America. The majority of forced labor tends to be for individuals or private enterprises, such as hereditary collateral-debt bondage. This is when a person is used as a means of paying back a debt. Other types of enslavement include government-forced labor prison camps and sex trafficking, in which people are forced into prostitution.
Hey princess...I've been ok. I was grumpy yesterday because I the night before, I went out to a club, went to bed at about 5 a.m., had to be at work at 2p.m., and was running on five hours of sleep...although, the night before I had a blast! =) Well I wasn't grumpy all day it was just those last few hours. Other then that, I'm just getting ready for graduation! =) How have you been?
Over 4% of US workers worked at home at least one day a week in 2010 - an increase of 35% since 2000.
About 13.4 million US workers work-at-home at least one day per week, according to the 2010 US Census. That is about 4% of all US workers. The number of Americans working from home -- also referred to as telecommuting -- grew more than 35% between 2000 and 2010. This increase is attributed mainly to advances in information and communication technology that allows for easy interaction between people in and out of physical office locations. Employers who allow employees to work from home typically cite increased productivity and lower office maintenance costs as reasons, along with and lower levels of absenteeism and staff turnover.
Americans get about 11% of their calories from fast food.
Americans get an estimated 11% of their total calorie intake from fast food. The total spending on fast food in the US is more than $110 billion US Dollars (USD) annually. Non-Hispanic black males typically eat the highest percentage of fast food, with more than 20% of their calories coming from fast food, on average. The prevalence of quick-service restaurants in the US is thought to contribute to the increasing prevalence of obesity. More than one-third of all Americans are obese, it is estimated, and obese people consume more of their calories from quick-service restaurants. From 2007 to 2010, individuals of normal weights consumed less than 10% of their calories from fast food, compared with 13% by obese people.
Hey LA i think its party time....do u have facebok account can we create group of bloggers and have fun their too...We can share our blogs ideas and much mote there and here too..wat say??
That sounds like a plan and yes I do have a FB account its, La-GREEN/520282651338353. I want to know more about this ideal; it sounds like a good plan.
once we got a group der, we can promote our blogs, share our blogs with other individuals, say ur frnds my frnds etc. We can make our frnds join our group. so our group will be of blog writers and blog readers ;-) this will increase traffic on our blogs. If ur thinking of making money as well, i think this could prove a very good option. wat say?? waiting for ur ideas
I like it. I was thinking maybe we can also share other things; we need something that's going to attract people to our group besides the blogs...not that are blogs are bad but we want people to have a reason to come back and keep coming back...We can start with some of the people here on the thread...ask them for their FB or give them the FB address...ok I see your vision....but we need to find a reason to bring people back or coming...give a little entertainment.
yup nice !! do u have any suggestions??. coz c we got bloggers around the world. can u just call a new thread here for all bloggers here and ask them to join us and give suggestions. From their suggestions we can get ideas to attract traffic and earn money. I am writing blog for both purpose hobby as well as earn money...
i got an idea. we will create a blog. this will contain many subjects. With u and me will take one or two members more. The blog logins will be shared among us. We will have four sections, individually on which we can keep on updating. say if we distribute 4 subjects, travel, food, fashion and movies. So one can write on travel other on food and so on. We will have this four categories in navigation menu. When a visitor comes to our blog, if he is interested in travel, he/she will click on travel in the menu, and get information on the same. wat say?? on the other we will use social media like facebook for promotion.
I like the ideal of having four writers for four sections but at the same time, I don't; I know as a writer, I've made myself versatile to all different kinds of topics. If I start writing about one thing, I may end up having some blah blah kind of writings. So in order to stay fresh, I need to stay open to different subjects; I know most writers may feel the same way...or maybe it's just me. lol As of what we can do to keep people coming back? an attraction seeking or addiction kind of thing? I'm not sure yet. I'm trying to think of something but when I do, I'll inform you. I think I might just have the trick...
I'm down with the FB group, I just know my friends won't join because most of them are not bloggers; kind of why I came here so I can meet other bloggers. However, I'm down with creating the group..maybe just creating a page dedicated to bloggers. We just need to figure out how to get likes. =)
That sounds like a good plan...I figured this would be a good place to start...this thread has been seen on a lot on bloggers...I'm guessing this would be the right thread.
In time...most people join in after this thread has died down a little but its been at the top for the past 24 hrs now....anyone else have any opinions they want to throw in?

158 bloggers...hey check it out bloggers, Sachin and I want to create something on FB geared toward bloggers and as of now, I'm drawing blanks on how we can make it better. Sachin so far has had some good ideals, I have had some inputs but want to know what bloggers are looking for. Let us know fellow bloggers...
Young children of professionals hear 3 times more words than kids whose parents are on welfare, research suggests.
How many words a child hears varies on how he or she is spoken to, and the number might affect his or her language skills in the future. Parents who have higher incomes might speak more words to their children than parents who earn lower incomes. Research has found that by the time they are 3 years old, children of professionals have heard 50% more words than children of working-class parents, on average, and at least three times more than the children of parents on welfare. It is thought that parents who have greater financial means have more time and resources to spend on their children. Lower-income parents might be working multiple jobs to make ends meet, giving them less time to spend with their children and higher stress levels that might reduce the number of words they say to their children.
An Olympic-size swimming pool can hold about 42,600 kegs of beer.
An Olympic swimming pool holds about 660,253 gallons (about 2.5 million liters), which is roughly equal to seven million cans of beer. A keg of beer generally contains about 15.5 gallons (58.67 liters), or about 165 cans of beer. An Olympic-size swimming pool would be able to hold more than 42,600 kegs of beer. The amount of beer consumed by Americans on Super Bowl Sunday in 2011 would fill about 493 Olympic swimming pools. It would take nearly 800 Olympic-size pools to hold all of the beer Americans consumed on St. Patrick’s Day in 2011.
