How much sleep is enough sleep?

Angelina says 869 days ago

Living in the Midwest, it is 7am right now, and I have had absolutely no sleep. I am an insomniac and tend to go with barely 2 to 4 hours a night- then totally crash (Sleep) on the weekends till whenever. How much sleep is enough sleep in your opinion with your particular lifestyle?

First of all sleep required based on habit and you could total control over it. Second, I've a bad habit and enjoy not to sleep over fifty or more hours frequently. Third, I even like to oversleep. (Caugh) I've few records for continuous sleep. A lots of things happened because of that sleepaholic!

Lastly, my 'sleep-awake' routine changed by every two days or week and I hardly remember when I've a routine at all. You may noticed I liked to joke about sleep too.

Btw I love what I'm doing and sleep well.

it takes 30mins-1hour for me to fall into a deep sleep...

if i need to wake up for office, i must have 5-6hrs of sleep..
while on free-days, as long as i feel tired..

on sick days, i wish to sleep til forever..

on not-so-good dreams state, i don't sleep

You meant you only take 'nap' so you can catch the dreams? :P

Beanizer says 858 days ago

hahaha..i don't remember saying i sleep (long/short)just to have dreams..but i'd rather stay awake for awhile than encounter nightmares..
sleeping for dream catching?--not a bad idea..

Totally depends on you. their is no scientific evidence regarding this. i know people who slept only for 4 hours and are healthy and fine. remember there is a clock inside our brain and it adjusts itself. if start sleeping for 8 hours it becomes our habbit and body becomes habitual to that.

What would you say?
