I have started my blogging 6 months ago and after setting up some posts and SEO for my blog I submitted my blog after 3 months to google adsense but they rejected. but now today 6 months criteria have been done for Indians and I have arround 80% of traffic from google search engine and have 60% of traffic from US but I could not judge that I could apply again at the present time. I entered this talk to see/compare my earnings with what others make with adsense. After seeing the sums that you say you earn, and visiting some of your blogs, I gotta tell you all: you don't earn bigger because your blogs/sites values is low, very low actually.
The value of a blog increases proportionally with the amount of useful information for the visitors can be found on it. As long as you don't start improving the QUALITY of your information, your blog's value will be low, and consequently, the ads that the google system will display on your site, will be cheap.
And ABOVE ALL, stop thinking that good looking templates make a blog or site more valuable.
3 things: simplest possible template, fastest possible load time, greates amount of useful info possible on site. That's what brings visitors, and that's what brings value to the ads displayed.
:)
And, yeah, I do make about 3.5 times what the greatest amount above me was on this page :)

Just when I was able to earn my first adsense income, someone hacked my blog and it was labeled an attack site, ruining years of hard work. Though I was able to get it fixed, I have to start all over again. I may be wrong but what say we help each other out on our adsense income? I guess that's one of the reason's why we're all here. I am not suggesting that we break the rules but there are a lot of bloggers who are asking the same question. This doesn't mean that we are in it for money alone. I took your advice and I read the article. According to what I read, it could due to the adsense set up or invalid clicks. According to the article on invalid clicks, it refers to the following:clicks or impressions generated by a publisher clicking on his own ads, a publisher encouraging clicks on his ads, automated clicking tools or traffic sources, robots, or other deceptive software. Given that definition, what if a blogger read an article from a blog that caught his attention. After reading, he saw an ad that he also liked and clicked on it. He browsed it thoroughly for some time before leaving. Would that be an invalid click?

1. Web / blog must have more visitors.
2. The contents of the article web / blog to quality.
3. There are high paying keywords.
I also see a lot of very long articles about adsense. But in short just focused on 03 conditions that you will get more money from adsense.
I am currently owns 02 websites and 06 blogs. The total number of monthly visitors: 290,000 visits / month.
- Rate my CTR 1.6 (Number of click / number of visits).
- On average, each in adsense clicks (CPC): 0.50$ - 2.5$.
So the average monthly Adsense will pay me about: 3,000$ - $ 6,500.
Now I just focus on Adsense as their main income source.
These are my sharing may be useful to many people.

Sandy, you won't have a security issue with Google AdSense. However, you may lose some readership. Now, for it to really works you need a large readership (1,000's every day to really get a nice monthly check.) They pay by check or wire transfer. It will depend on where you are and what you want to accept. The best is to check their info directly. For sure, you can create an account and not use it so that would be safe anyway.

The google adsense income is directly proportional to your website traffic. But keep in mind that if you are getting a lot of traffic, your overall cpc will be down.

Mine is only at $8 maybe close to $9. I just don't get the clicks. Working on traffic to my blog. But not stressing over it. I just enjoy writing.

Somehow this thread gives me inspiration to blog more and keep updated and posted in my blog to improved more and earn more in Adsense, hat's off to Gagan Masoun for creating this thread and to all members who keep replying on this thread, so far my earnings have improved not much but at least it gives me earnings in Adsense in no time I will reach that minimum threshold of $100 but I am not in a hurry for I know that after reaching it I also need to wait 30 days for them to pay me

I congratulate all of you guys for your earnings on Google ads wish I could say the same with myself but unfortunately since I joined Google ads program since April I have never earned a single penny. I do not know maybe I don't have enough traffic for my blog http://askjonteesoy.blogspot.com/. As i have researched that adsense earnings is based on the placement and traffic. Wish someone can give me a real advice on this matter. Thanks

First of all, if you really want to earn from your blog, you have to totally forget about making money (from your blog) for a small period of time. Ask any successful blogger and he will tell you that work like a workaholic for minimum six months without thinking about making even a cent. Work on building traffic and money will come eventually.
Secondly, to all those who are using blogspot domain, try buying your own custom domain and switch your blogger account to your custom domain. For example, make it "xyz.com" instead of "xyz.blogspot.com". It doesn't cost you much, you'll get your own domain for about $10 per year (yeah, per year). Note that I'm asking about getting a domain, not a hosting service.
Thirdly, sign up for alternate ad-networks too because google is in a habit of banning your account for no reason (can quote many examples here).
I was once reading a case study on Digg, they used adsense when the site was new. Guess how much they were making approximately per month? $200,000 per month (yes TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND US DOLLARS PER MONTH). So I guess you'll understand that its all about traffic.
And by the way, never ever click on your own ads, NEVER EVER. It'll be stupidity at its extreme if you lose your adsense account for some cents.
