VERY TRUE that parents have ambitions for their children. Every parent attempts educating their children, more than they have had. They want to see their child settled into promising careers, as by their perceptions. It is tough on the child to go by parental desires. We do see cases of parental expenses on the child to be a doctor. The child returns with the medical degree and becomes an excellent sales executive in a different trade altogether. Parent- Child discussion must start early. Parents must nurture the child in the direction of the child's talents and strengths. Do not impose on the child. Discuss, reason out, look at the market place, evaluate future needs in society and then jointly conclude career choice and parents must be supportive and motivative.

Thiruselvam K, you said it all. Many a times our parents can have us do something we don't like.Am a living example.
Since i was a child, i always wanted to become a journalist. When i completed high school,my dad had other plans for.He wanted me in IT.I was against it but finally somehow i found myself in the field.I struggled hard and acquired my Bachelor in IT and even liked IT but my heart is still in writing.
I have just found myself blogging though i started recently.
In blogging i've found love!!! ha ha ha

Choose a career where you will be happy and you believe you’ll be successful. It is your life and not someone else, after all. If you excel in your chosen profession, I’m pretty sure you’ll have their respect for deciding on your own.
