Already four days in the new office, still feeling embarrassing. In Mines office, i have a room myself and coffee served twice daily. In PJ office, I given a 10' x 10' cubicle and coffee served inconsistently. Less than a year, they moved me to office in Wangsa Maju, give a 5' x 2' partition workspace and no more coffee. 18 years service, that all I deserve.
Continually received 3 performance rewards until company stopped it. Am I not performing? My team got a 3 years annuity maintenance contract with high VA in 2009. Am I not performing?
Of course you are performing!! You are just not making enough money to maintain one of the 40the richest man in Malaysia. What you have provided is just peanut as far as he is concerned. So, my humble recommendation is go out and make sure that you are racking in miliions for their liking. Please go rob a bank!
The company management is not sincere. Firstly, told us business plan not approved, not legal to pay salary, suspended the limit of authority of the managers. Then told us a lot procedural problems in the company, implemented more stringent procedures that almost paralyze the company business operation. A simple RM600 quotation took us more than 20 days before it can go out. Do you think your customer will wait? Seem like there are more procedural problems after they took over our finance and operation department. Not doing any good to the business at all. Sales persons are crying for help everyday.
The X-IBM chap and his darling core team are only interested in creating processes to CONTROL your non-oil related company. Bring in new business in never their problems ... they view it as the sales people's KPI's. Now that their objective is to close down business, they will modify existing processes to implement it legally.
WHY GROUSE. The simple rule is to get out, before they throw you out. If they do not care why waste time with such people? So much of better opportunities. Get out of the drying well, before it is too late and deep to get out from.
I was managing a department with 50+ staffs with managers and engineers. Overnight, i start taking meeting minutes for the weekly business meeting. No reason or explanation given by the company. What have i done to deserve this? Why are they doing this to me?

Even my mobile phone is barred since a month ago. The company is taking away the entitled benefits a bit by bit. My desk phone still not working, maybe it will never work. I have to borrow son's phone and carry the old phone so that incoming calls still can reach me, especially from clients.

Regarding the one-table-one-chair share by 2 person violation I sent a complaint email to my boss to voice out my disatisfaction...my boss has no answer to it. Appreantly this is done by HR my boss also dunno. Is there a procedure issue here?

When a company is winding up, the receiver/manager will liquidate all assets of the company and distribute in accordance to the provisions of the Company's Act. Under this section, priority is given to debenture holders, payment to receivers, EPF, Income tax. Employees wages are given a low priority and it is possible that the balance money realised from the liquidation may not be sufficient to pay the employees. However if you are covered by the employement act, you may be able to claim for termination benefits, but you will still have to line up for whatever residue after priority payments have been made.

At last the "management" is doing all staffs a favour. There already gave us a lot of bullet to sue them for "Constructive Dismissal". This is another valuable bullet. I would love to be told that I will no longer has any PC, chair & table to use in office.
Obviously they have no intention to pay any compensation to the staff. VSS or MSS, no way. They want you voluntarily resign and they don't need you to serve the balance. On the other side, they want us to do business as usual.
Of course, we still want them to compensate the staffs. But we will get the Labour Department to talk to them. So, let contribute by posting your frustration here and recruit more to join. We will be succeed if we are persistence and united.
Let us be honest here, they want you to go without any form of compensation. That's the whole idea. And if you are not going, they will then find faults and making life miserable. Worst, they will find some allegations to give you show cause to pressure you some more.
In my opinion, someone will make mistakes (either the morons or us); if they do, then we will have enough grounds and reasons to sue. The longer they delay, the worst and nasty they will become. So brace yourself.
Just look at our current office environment, I am sure that we are still paying rental for Sakura@PJ because it is under contract, and we are also paying for the depreciation for the fixed asset done at PJ office. So what is the saving? None. What is the purpose? Make your working environment difficult.

In several meetings I had with the "EX" small and mighty MD over the years (even after he was stripped off his authority), he was mentioning that "IF you screwed me I will probably forgive you, but If you screwed Sakura I will personally going after you!". I knew he meant it but I am just curious of what is he going to do now that he is being screwed by Sakura Management repeatedly for the past few months. HA HA HA interesting.

As the new managment do not have a clue what the people in Sakura Global are doing they want to see who is performing and who is not performing so that they can plan what to do next. This is just a hunch
At my point of views, this is a national issues.. either HQ staff or staff from branches.. SM, AM, Exec or 'cool lee' @ non exec staff ( contract and permanent)... so many issues arise and still not resolved yet by management...
1. Late millage claim payment - we all use our pocket money to 'invest' on company operation... and please pay back our money on time..
2. PMCare cannot been used at clinics
3. KPI payment - suddenly terminated
4. Late salary payment
MAYBE these issue not important (maybe important)to 'big' guys with 'big' salary .. but for 'cool lee'like me, this is a big issues...

I would inteprete the suspension of all LOA's to mean that the company is desperate to reduce further liabilities ... It is the writing on the wall that the end is getting close.
I found in facebook one of the sakura staff.. They remove the signboard by themselves.. no more vendors to do this job because sakura already 'miskin'...
Salute to all the Sakura staffs that willing to go extra mile although "removing signboard" is not in their SOW. I believe they are many more unsung heroes in Sakura.

Don't worry, top management is too busy with the show cause letter served by Kenny for mismanagement of Sakura Imaging. If not handle properly, he might go to jail.
If an employer considers that the employee, having committed an offence, will bring disrepute to the firm, the employer can hold a domestic inquiry to investigate and possibly dismiss the employee. However, as in other cases of dismissal, the employee can appeal against being dismissed by lodging a complain of "Unfair dismissal" under Section 20 of the Industrial Relations Act.
I think as long as your contributions is constructive and serve as a record of reliable information (keep documented proof) then they will add values to protect your rights at labour office... that is if someone decided to file a case later.

Well. Getting fired from job is everyone’s last wish. But for the sake of learning, let’s keep an open mind on this issue. The two legal words often associated with someone being fired from a job are termination and dismissal.
Termination and dismissal can happen due to poor performance (not meeting the stipulated targets, rendering poor service to customers etc) and discipline problem (e.g. absenteeism, consistently late for work etc). Termination could also arise due to serious misconduct by the employee. For example, when you punched or threatened to kill your boss because he or she did not approve your leave, or robbed your own colleague, then your likelihood to be dismissed is pretty high.
However, the process of getting someone terminated or dismissed is not a straight forward process.
There are rules to be followed. Employers need to be mindful and avoid making unjust dismissal as there needs to be a convincing ground and justified proofs before someone can be fired from the job. In case of termination, the employee cannot be simply fired unless until a domestic inquiry is conducted. A domestic inquiry is a round of investigation exercise conducted by the management to establish full facts of events before a disciplinary action is taken.
There is also this thing called constructive dismissal. Constructive dismissal is a form of wrongful dismissal that happens when an employer changes the employment terms such as salary, responsibilities and position (perhaps demote you to a lower position) and asked you to either accept the new terms or resign if he disagrees.
Employment in Malaysia is governed by 3 main laws, namely the Employment Act 1955, the Industrial Relations Act 1967 and the Trade Unions Act 1959. One thing for sure, the laws serving the employment regulations are very much pro-employees. In a way, there are here to protect the employees and the workers.
This means, if an employee is wrongly fired, dismissed or terminated, the company can be in serious trouble. They can be torn into pieces. Further, the employment laws do not only limit to termination and dismissal, but all aspects of work that cover salary and compensation, safety, harassment, discrimination and so on. If you read about the entry: Resigning From Job – Get it Right, one of the possible disputes that can occur during the resignation is the settlement of final payment. So if you feel your employer owes you some outstanding salary, allowances, bonus and so on, it’s time to act.
Also, if you are being victimized by your employer (which is not only related to termination and dismissal); do not hesitate to seek for legal advice.
Hang Tuah, Sakura is exhausting all effort to force you out, how is it possible to give you any Reward Plan! PIP is a way to pressure those "underformed" staff to resign.
If they refuse to resign, they performance will be review under microscope. If these staffs still underperform, the management will then issue you another show cause letter.
With 2 show cause letters issue to you, the management has the legal right to TERMINATE YOU! My advice, get a lawyer to answer your first show cause letter. Do not wait for the 2nd show cause letter to come. What is your advice, SoCalledLawyer?
"..if you think you are treated unfair." is a bit hard to convince those IR officer to act since they will be dealing with a big company with political influence. Taking action against Big time corporate mighty hit a snag if not die premature.
I think for the soon forseeable future, sakura will implement what was discussed in this blog to cover the gap so that the staff do not have proof to take action against them

Organising road side demonstration is very difficult and is not our culture. I don't think Sakura will do that as long as they are still paying our salary. The better way to counter attack is to bring more attention to this blog. Ask all our colleagues, customers, suppliers, vendors and well as media reporters to highlight our plight.

FYI, before implementing Voluntary Separation Scheme (VSS), the companies need to get approval from the government. One of the criteria the government considers in approving VSS is that the company is not making or losing money for a long period of time. By doing this, the government can ensure that the companies are not using VSS for their selfish gain.
Is your company losing money for a long period of time?
In fact Sakura Global is making money since the inception 18 years except 1 year we are losing money. What ever said and done synergy is making money for many years doing TRADING BUSINESS and SOME O&M PROJECT. I remember about 5 years ago when Sakura have a VSS they did informed the government and not long after that we got a billion dollar contract and the birth of SST. During the VSS almost none of synergy staff got the VSS although all opted for the VSS. Maybe this is another way of getting contract from government by putting staff in the front line to be slaughter and the effect MORE GOVERNMENT CONTRACT! Just guessing might be wrong or right depending who is reading it.
The Saints, maybe this exactly their strategy. Since Sakura is working on 1Gov; another billion dollar project, who knows the boss is trying to use the same strategy to get project from the govt. Again using the staffs as the bargaining chip. If the govt don't award 1Gov to Sakura, we had no choice but to cut staffs.
Anyway, even Sakura get big projects they will still fire their staffs. Maybe delay 1 or 2 years. Just take a look at GIRN. By the time sakura make the money, they will still get rid of us. This is Sakura. The company that care for the public, care for the society!
You know the management is herding and pushing you (with PIP, PAP, PEP, POP etc) into a 'bungkus' cliff and you have seen some of your members committed harakiri before even reaching it.
And while we are sharing infomation, chatting and letting go some steam, I can't help feeling fustrated that you are also loosing valuable time to get your act together to face the management professionally.
Ladies and gentlemen, are you not trained professionals? Then why do you allow your management to treat you like dirt? After all, like so many have said/implied, you are just doing your job here and NOT CHEATING!
If the failure is with DrCheat and his reporting officer (ie. coo were sleeping on his job - controlling), then the failure should rightly be hung on their names. They are the ones that should bungkus themselves. Not you, the innocent professionals.
I think you should take SoCalledLawyer's advice seriously. I would go further (hey I am doing my job to push you like a SlaveDriver ok) to visit the IR office now to seek their advice and draw their attention and monitor your case.
My opion the managment think we all are not worthy regardless if you are associated with DrCheat or not. The just want to have a clean cut and let the new grass grow. Easier to manage young grass than old dogs as the saying goes "it is harder to teach old dog a new trick..."

If he actually take legal action against the company and think Sakura will be in deep shit. First the company give so much pressure till he turned coco. Now he even got a heart attacked. This is all documented.
The situation is so unacceptable until now. They done it to Francis during Sakura Marketing time, now they do it to TT Lee. I sincerely hope TT Lee is all well. If they keep pushing it, I don't think TT Lee is the last one in hospital.
They are turning Sakura as Foxconn in China. 13 workers were committed suicide in Foxconn.
Sakura Global is like pressure cooker to the staffs right now. Many will turn haywire in the coming months.
Whatever happened in Sakura Global? Just find the main culprits and take proper action against them. Why punish everyone? Is it worth just trying to save some money to sacrifice people lives?
Just pay compensation to those innocents and let them go on with their lives. I think those innocents just need some months of buffer in case they can't find a new job.
Sakura may have save some money by not paying VSS/MSS but the money save is nothing compare with the damage done to the "SAKURA" name, the most valuable asset in this organisation. All of us here are using "SAKURA" instead of the real name because we still have some respect to Tan Sri & Puan Sri. But this respect is slowly overcome anger and hatre.

In case you guys haven't been informed, Cherlyn, Kamarul, Asri, Hazlina, Veera & the whole of Sakura Imaging are classified as underperformers. They will be given 3 months to improve under the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). If they fail to improve, the will advise to resign or risk being sack.
I heard Sakura Imaging people resigned and joining DrCheat with 20% pay increase. The best part is DrCheat's son is working from inside to pursuit the staffs to jump ship.
The smart management here can't do a thing to stop. Or they purposely let these people so no need to pay them compensation.
Also heard Imaging got a big contract but seem like no one will deliver or support the contract again. Let wait for customer complaint again.
As I commenting in this blog, I need to recall how the company treat us. It leave me with a lot of anger and hatre, I worry I will turn crazy just like TT Lee. I need a break to relax my mind and at the same time give a chance to the management to react.
Do you guys notice the Performance Management result that you are ask to sign off has a column name "Moderation"? This "moderation" is for the company to adjust your PMS score according to their liking. KC writen to Hong to seek clarification on how is this moderation being compute and Hong said he know nothing about this and ask KC to ask HR.

Sakura think that they can "moderate" the score as they wish and ask the staff to sign off their livelihood. Dear colleagues, please clarify everything you sign. Sakura may use this to go against you later. But all is not lost, if you already sign something, remember to send an email to your friends/colleagues to mentioned that you sign that document under duress. This will help a lot when your lawyer need to use it later.

How to meet SLA? Staffs trying their best to serve customers with least support from the company. Claims delay, travel RQ take years to approve, suppliers credit hold, PMcare suspended, low salary, worry about the PMS and PIP.
So many things to worry, how can they serve the customers full heartedly?

They have to swallow their ego now and fulfill. Pay some respect to the suppliers especially if you own people money, treat them like our partners. My Company does so much goodness in me... it gaves me shelter for 8-hours, goal to accomplish, reason to wake up in the morning, salary to help me exist, sheltered with different types of people, i call them corporate friends at first and later discover who is real(who i treasure) and who is not (treat them as if they don't exist or just work with them professionally). It gave me chance to travel around the country. Thanks to the Company I am for 13 long years.
BUT not the people who are managing and leading it... they come and go...different style, different views, some are pain in the ass and some are so inspiring and learned a lot from them. The tasks they asked me to do gave me so much stressed and that's the reason I have time to blog, cause I asked for a long break bec I am slowly losing my interest and i dont want my company to get hurt paying me doing nothing.... huhuhu i miss my company and the salary i got from it (though it doesn't commensurate with my performance).

From the word we hear there is money in the bank but being hold by Aliza due to want to pay vendor and make us at SSM feel suffer by not received salary.
Why she do like that, she should be profesional, she should not complaint receiving when extra work without extra allowance as we here in SSM doing MULTITASKING for long time already.
and we also are not able to use our medical benefit as the PM care have been block.
We do not wish to complaint about Aliza but feeling SAD, DOWN and DEMOTIVATED due to her action. We hope you understand our feeling.
