Hi, do you know what to do for appearing in Featured Blogger place? Any idea.

Oh, why not Bloggers.com explained some info about featured blogger criteria.

Please read those blogs that qualified for the spot. In that way you get to know how their blogs were featured. But let me ask you why would you want your blog to be featured anyway? Being featured here does not necessarily mean you will increase your viewers. I would suggest for you to start publishing your sites to major websites, like Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL, etc. How? Surf the net. That’s how easy it is. ;)

Thanks Jolly for your suggestion. I am not interested in to appear in featured blogger, but I only want to know who the system works for this. BTW you are right it is not so helpful for gaining large no of viewers. I am working on my blogs as more as I possible an my blog on PC tips now gaining above 200 pageviews daily, it is only two week old.

Wow that’s a lot! Count me in as one of your viewers. One thing good about this TALKS is we get to share tips that would be of help to our fellow bloggers. I actually didn’t look at your blogs before I replied to you. What got me attracted to reply to your forum is your avatar. You look like an innocent kid.;) In a way, I’m also wondering how the blogs jurors chose the featured blogs. I read some. One was an alcoholic, one was suffering for depression etc.. Nah.. I just want to be normal and let the whole WWW knows I am.

Thanks, definitely it will help other bloggers as well as I hope the site administrators also think about this. I am agree with your opinion about the featured blog, so I was also so surprised, and it made me to ask other 'Bloggers.com' members.

Thank you too for opening a TALK topic with sense my friend. I guess we already imparted some of our views that might impact the decision of the blog reviewers for their featured blog. I read so many blogs in here, even on offline mode and I know a lot of genius bloggers are in here. I hope the review board will get to notice them, too.

I found most featured bloggers are interesting, they are good writers. There was few has a cool and amazing blog. There was few not that cool (for me). They all has picture/avatar and their bio has filled well.
To monetize your blog first of all really need good content, meeting with similar minded people helps increase viewers. And of course being a 'featured blogger' they got more readers and visits but only better blogs still getting them.
There need some instruction for us to understand the site better, really. Anyway, I'm still working on my personal Blog and I'm more likely have fun to read of yours. Happy blogging.

I think 'the problem' lies on that finding the 'Best Bloggers'. How to define 'Best Bloggers'?

No I am not saying that the present featured bloggers are not eligible for that. I am trying to tell you that review team of this site must give us some info about how they select featured blogger, so we can understand their algorithm.

When I find a nice blog I try to leave a review on that Blog. I guess all we should do that too. That helps to understand who gotta better content and what's makes it interesting.

Most people write about things that really relate to other people and are fun to read. I'm not sure how you get featured but it's fun to get to know alot of people. :0

How can I be the Featured Blogger?
We want to promote Blog profiles who has provided detail information, active and maintaining a Good Blog. To become a candidate of Featured Blogger you must.
a. Complete your user profile. We encourage well written text that describe your interest. Too short profiles means lack of seriousness. User profile must not contain any URL or Email.
Go to User Account>Edit Profile for updating your profile.
b. User must change default Avatar and complete other fields in Account. Avatar with real pictures will get better chance.
c. Blog information should be correct and Submitter must Own the Blog. In case we find it suspicious we may ask to show proof of ownership.
d. Any profile or site solely for internet marketing or affiliated marketing will get less chance to be the featured Blogger.

Hey guys, ever noticed that most featured bloggers lately are those with photos of Caucasians like Americans or those from UK or Canada? Have you noticed too that some won’t ever reply to you even if you voted for them? Hmmm.. just asking.. :)

I've noticed instead of those showed up in popular bloggers in home page, other Bloggers are promoted as featured blogger. It's really bad to see few of them not respond to readers but aren't those went far behind who does?

Hi Jill, I guess you don’t have to be a featured blogger to gain our votes. You’re new to the website but you had shown yourself around by moderating TALKS and participating in the discussions. I had been in here since late 2009 but been active only 2010. You’ll never regret for being one of us here. This is like your internet neighbor, a family, outside your real world. :)

Thank you Jill, I really appreciate it. I just read your bio on This Is Life? and it's great! At one point I wanted to be a broadcast journalist but its a tough profession and I gave it up. It's one of my biggest regrets but I am happy with what I am doing now.
