How can we comfort people who are in distress and trouble and are been under the torture???

what is comfort
it depends on circumstances .type of torture or the reason that caused him to be demented ,that will decide the type of comfort .bring out the reasons of pain and then act appropriately ,cant genralize

dard ta saarean nu hunda yaa ! i mean every being alive feels pain and cries .humans are not the only one who suffer the agony ...

ya i agree tht evry living creature feels pain and pain can b suppressed by love and affection....vo kahte haina pyar se dardh ko metadho...or dardh se dardh ko metadho....

People in distress; people in trouble and people under torture are all 3 different groups. What distress? What trouble? What torture?
If in distress as a result of losing out in love or a loved one has passed away, the nearest and dearest can keep company; be of help; some errands and show that he or she is never alone. If occasion warrants, get that person along with you to help someone else.
If in trouble, stay away and do not get legally tangled with that party. If it is the kind of trouble where you can lend a hand and save, go ahead. In lending your hand, keep your head and thoughts above troubled waters, and do not get dragged and drowned as well.
If under torture, as a wife stuck to a wife beater or a child being victim of parental molesting, get the authorities concerned or the welfare to step in.

I dont know cuz i never met such person in my life uptil now.well if i met such person i would keep him happy and make him forget all the mischaps and worries

When a distressed friend comes to me for help,I usually reassure the person to recall his or her past accomplishments.In that way,my friend can take pride in what he or she has achieved in the past. I boost the confidence in my ailing friend by making mention of how great life has been in the past and how he or she can relive it all over again and make it more wonderful.
