increasing pagerank is one of the most tricky thing in SEO stuff..
as per most SEO experts... (1) backlinks, (2)content type and (3) search severity
these are most impacting things on pagerank
you can simply use social bookmarking services like "vanani.com" or "reddit" to achieve 1st and 3rd thing bcoz bookmarking is one of the best traffic generating tool if you are trying to have some free clicks..

i was also not aware of vanani.com, but when that "tom cruise" post brought me 1200 clicks i was shocked.. BOOOO..!
i think it's a social bookmarking and networking site something like reddit..
and success depends on which posts you're submitting there..bcoz as per my analysis my submitted posts are indexed within a single hour....but not all are on first pages on google.posts which have popular keywords are bringing amazing traffic
but you should submit the posts (OR we can say posts with KEYWORDS) which are most likely to be searched on search engines..this way your submitted posts will swiftly move on higher pages on search engines and they can bring you at least clicks worth your hard work ..
this is what i've figured out up till now about vanani.com ;-)

as per blogger analytics most visitors are from US, UK ,INDIA,FRANCE....
lot's of others also but these four are at the top..
yes you r r8 geographic results may vary...i am interested in it just bcoz of it's faster listing...results are totally upon GOOGLE GOD .

simple book marking do not work oh yes trending topics may help but not achieve page rank with that it needs more than that currently at pr 2
