- promote your blog with SEO tools: make your blog structure search engine friendly, make XML sitemaps, check your search engine rankings, promote your images and videos not just text, analyze competitor backlinks to find link sources you were missing out on, sign into google analytics and measure your traffic and site usability
- do guest blogging - great way to build links
- socialize on Twitter, FB, Google + YouTube - other social networks like Chime.in, about.me, Pinterest, Stumble Upon, Instagram, Flikr - explore your niche and find ways to be social
- get a Klout
- make it easy for people to share your stuff with social sharing widget (consider retweetn button instead of a tweet button) - hope you are giving some Comment Luv too - if not get this plugin right now
- get interviewed by other bloggers - great for linkbuilding
- learn how to write - read stuff at Copyblogger, read Kristi Hines to learn how to promote your blog ... there are so so many successful bloggers out there - learn from them

the best way if someone can afford is to advertise it while the breaking news on the news channel.. i have done it 3 times and got a massive boom on my blog since that day :)
