I think it can be a good thing to be comfortable in a relationship. Who doesn't want to be themselves? It's good to be relaxed, honest and genuine with the person that is sharing your life, isn't it? Or have I got your question wrong?

No matter how much you try to avoid it, eventually you will pass gas in front of your spouse/partner whatever. And yeah, after years and years of marriage it has gotten to a point where I will leave that bathroom door open to do my business, pass gas, belch, whatever in front of my husband. But, we still have "romance". I say "romance" because neither one of us are very romantic.
