I need a good read. . .

Natasha

I have been sticking to the same author for the last few years. James Rollins is great but I need something new. Some diversity. What books would you recommend?

You should read any book by James Patterson. Awesome author and one hell of a mind.

Malds said it:

George RR Martin with the Song of Ice and Fire, starts with Game of Thrones.

But in the end, that's fantasy. It just depends on what you are into. I have several favorite authors, most of which are in the fantasy genres.

The Hangman's Daughter by Oliver Pötzsch is a GREAT read, and not fantasy, its a murder mystery set in 1660 Germany. Wonderful tale.

I'm currently reading the Strain by Del Toro.

I recently got into a YA story called Adventures in Funeral Crashing, which I adored. Its a murder mystery set in highschool.

If the story/writing is good I will read it. I don't care about the genre. I will even read a cheese filled romance novel if the story is good. My favorite genres would be fantasy, science fiction, thriller (I love a good chase), and horror. Mystery is good too, if it isn't see through from the beginning and it makes you think.
