I am running a blog and would like a truthful review of my outlay and content. I want to expand and monetize and at least approach sponsors but I need the blog to look on top form and create a buzz around it.
I need your help and advice and I will offer my advice on your blog too :-)

you need to change your template, you are wasting space especially the top portion, you could put ads there for future use, make the templates soft in the eyes, put more pages for your blog posts, site maps and widgets that could help for easier navigation, the calendar widget is not useful it will only cost you space, try looking for beautiful templates on btemplates.com, and try to be consistent posting it will help increase your rank

Thank you for your review I am going to get a new blog page built. I had a look at your two blogs. Daily rock is lovely and clean and i get what its about great widgets social apps. Just need to get a few people sharing your content. Also on the top page fill the links with content as it just reaches a server.
Dustent - i was a bit confused about what the blog was about but then noticed your catch phrase wherever the wind takes me. I would say that the adverts are really intrusive and off putting. Also put it them both on your own domain
Agreed with Dustzilla. The header area is taking a lot of space.
The logo is Text based, You can add a logo image, For branding purpose a logo image is a must.
The content on the blog is good but is shared less on social media sites like fb, twitter, digg, stumbleupon. you can share on these sites to gain traffic.
you might want to put Social share buttons in the post and Social Follow buttons on the sidebar.

I love the design of your blog. It look professional. I do agreed with the earlier replies - the top portion is taking valuable 'online real estate' space. so too is the calender.
U need more content, at least 1-2 post per day? with frequent contents update, search engine will rank you higher.
what about using jump break on your post? you could then put 8-10 post of the home page of your blog, rather than just 1-2. Give a chance for your reader to skim through first, if they like what they see, they can always click on the Read More button.
Thanks I will look at getting contributors in to help drive more traffic and get more content I will also rebuld design. Its hard because its primarily a video blog and videos take a lot more time to produce than written content. But i could do a mixture of both i suppose
adding to the good replies above you need a good pagination the " older post" is so outdated and boring use a good page numbering and the read more ( jump break) to increase the number of post on your homepage
Your site design looks lice. However, I think that your sidebar looks empty. You should add something like recent posts there, recent comments etc. Also, you should add contact form on your webpage. There are many plugins which can do that for you. In that way you could find guest bloggers, potential link partners etc.
