Hi Ymandalwala, I would say Wordpress but it depends on your needs. Check out an article through the link below and hope it helps. Merry X-Mas. Cheers

I'm currently using blogger and considering switching. From the research I've done, WordPress seems a lot less limiting. For example, in blogger, there's not much you can do to customize the standalone pages. Also, there's not nearly as many good plugins.

Go with WordPress.

In my opinion, I use only Wordpress before but some feature you need to pay and its very hard to upgrade your website. What I'm trying to say is you need to spend more time in knowing how to upgrade your site or developing your site. But when I use google products EVERYTHING is free ;-). But what is good with Wordpress their features and design are so elegant in fact I still have my wordpress account at the moment

Try selfhosted Wordpress and pay for only hosting nothing more dude, enjoy the benefit of all the things

WordPress without doubt if you can afford hosting.

In my opinion, if you're serious about blogging; wordpress. If you have just started blogging and its more of a hobby; blogger.
Good luck and happy blogging :-)

I'm a WordPress fan and use it as a standalone, although you can start with wordpress.com and build a site on their servers. WordPress allows you considerably more freedom to work, to adapt and to design. It has literally thousands of free themes available, most of the widgets and plug-ins are free, there is an excellent spam filter available (Akismet) as well as real time statistics. You control all the meta-tags and WordPress has good SEO. In addition, WordPress blogs are ranked separately for world position and page ranking where blogspot is only ranked as a whole.

Blogger is the best and most flexible if you are a geek and good at coding
Wordpress is user friendly and best for new-bies as they have a wide variety of plugins
Blogger has less plugins nd widgets have to be added by coding your template
In blogger you can have your custom domai but on wordpress.com you'll have to buy domain through their cpanel/dashbpard
I have my blog at Blogger at present and it's working fine and afterall it's free without spending even a penny (leave the GPRS data cost and time I have spent on it)

Before I started with Wordpress I had a lower end blog (not Blogger) I found that for my needs as a writer/ photographer / artist WP gave me the most flexibility. I was part of a community that used blogger we eventually had to switch to wordpress as Blogger was not giving us the layouts and flexibility (we lost alot of our stats which was significant). If Wordpress is where you will end up then why not switch earlier than later. WP is not perfect but it most of the WP community's needs.

I can say sure that WordPress is user friendly, might be blogger is more good than WordPress as i do not have experience with blogger.

Zafar Ahmad ∙ 10 weeks 1 day ago

Wordpress is best but still i use blogger..

Wojciech Wnuk ∙ 10 weeks 1 day ago

In my opinion Wordpress gives much more flexibility than Blogger. Having a self-hosted blog has many advantages and especially more control. Although on all blogging platforms you are a part of community just from the start and the same in on Blogger.

Wordpress is much better and if you buy hosting with hostgator with the coupon code - 9871780785 you get a 25% initial discount which is more than what hostgator provides you.

Pratik Thorat ∙ 7 weeks 6 days ago

Wordpress has been a most loving cms because of the features they have, you can literally implement anything on it, and also you can get support from a wide developers and users so I will say go for Wordpress not to tell self hosted.

Kmmyp ∙ 7 weeks 6 days ago

Wordpress is good if you pay for it. But you're limited to a lot of things when you use the platform for free. Blogger is customizable and you get to tweak it into your own liking.

Eashu ∙ 7 weeks 5 days ago

Blogger is the best blogging platform for the beginners. Use Blogger.com, publish more that 25 posts and then apply for Google AdSense! Then you will understant automatically that why people do blogging. If you face any difficulties in your blogging journey then visit http://atozhackingtricks.blogspot.com (Computer Knowledge World) and find your sollution. Use Blogger.com not Wordpress.com. It has nothing interesting for bloggers as Blogger.com

Ceciliette ∙ 6 weeks 2 days ago

If you're new to this bloggers world i would recommend you blogger. It's an easier plataform to understand.
