Our van was vandalized and we did not realize it until we got to the convenience store to put gas in it. We put 10 gallons of what is basically liquid gold (gasoline) into our van. When we were finished pumping we saw a river of gasoline running down the pavement. Someone had punctured the gas tank. We rolled it into a parking space and told the attendant what had happened and she responded with an "ok". We told her we would have to return to get it the next morning because it was already pretty late. She said that was fine. The next day we returned to find that the van had been towed. The manager informed us that they had to call the fire department out to "neutralize" the gasoline and to clean it up. They wouldn't tell us where our van was towed until we agreed to give them our personal information. Well, I'm sorry, but I don't give that info out to just anyone. They informed us that it was an EPA issue and SOMEONE had to pay. Well, I guess they should have informed their attendant what to do in a situation like that because the regular joes of the world do not know what to do in that type of situation. Whatever. Anyway, 3 days later, still no van, possible citation, and a general crummy outlook on the assholes of the world. Police are not helping either. Now my one year old has the flu AND strep throat at the same time. I have had no sleep and I want to crucify the store owner. Any ideas what the heck I need to do from here? Keep in mind I am in the state of Georgia in America and the laws here are so ridiculous and one law contradicts another law and the right hand never knows what the left hand is doing so it makes it impossible for the butt hurt citizens to get any relief.
