Invitation to create a little tribe of bloggers commenting on each other's blog

Augis Barkov on Comments, Commenting, Tribe, Blog Comments, News, News Blogs

I would like to connect with the similarly-minded people who would like to comment on each other's blogs.

Here is how it could work.

We need just 10 people. That's enough.

Each time when one of us is publishing a new post - others visit the blog, read the post and leave genuine, good comment (not something like "Nice", "Great", "I liked it").

In this way we would have a good amount of comments for each post and it would hopefully help other, natural visitors speak out and increase the sense of community.

In order to make it look natural, we shouldn't leave comments for the sake of backlink (and even avoid putting our URL) because in this tribe the value of comment itself is what matters.

This is all about creating the vibrant communities of commenters on our blogs.

***

Please, reply here if you are interested.

After having 10 people aboard, we will think further how to manage our communication technically.

That would depend if the tribe of bloggers I would like to be in are all about the web, I'm in. But I might try to join a different tribe of bloggers though where possible.

Augis Barkov ∙ 42 weeks ago

I agree with your concern.

Since I am myself a programmer, it wouldn't be difficult for me to understand your posts and leave meaningful comments, but for some other people it might pose difficulties.

So, indeed you possibly would have to seek for a more technically oriented blog.

Ivan Aliku ∙ 42 weeks ago

Well am more of a blogger with some programming knowledge. I also do some HTML stufs. I think Abdul's blog and Augis's would be a good take for me to participate with.
I'm checking out your blog immediately.

La Dulce Vida ∙ 42 weeks ago

Would love to visit me and I will follow. www.adrianairis.com

Bikramjit Sarker ∙ 42 weeks ago

I am in!

Kader Loco ∙ 42 weeks ago

sounds good

Samuel ∙ 42 weeks ago

I am in. Thanks for the idea. This is my blog http://bthemesandtricks.blogspot.com
So how can we start commenting

Augis Barkov ∙ 42 weeks ago

OK - so we have 4 people so far?

Bikramjit + Kader Loco + Samuel + myself.
That's already good amount, actually.

Let's, however, wait two days more to see if we can become 10 (but for sure NOT MORE than that!).
Then we might discuss the rules through e-mail and once the "game rules" are clear - simply communicate through a dedicated Google group where each of us would submit the link to his/her new blog post (one per day at most).

Though there might be a more simple way than Google Group to leave the links to new posts that need commenting?
Please, leave your suggestions here if you have some idea...

Abdul Qoyyuum ∙ 42 weeks ago

+1 on Google Groups. Not sure if there are any other ways to post links and update each other of new posts.

Obasi Miracle ∙ 42 weeks ago

i'm in

Samuel ∙ 42 weeks ago

I Think that idea is great about using Google group since it's all connected with Blogger

Bikramjit Sarker ∙ 42 weeks ago

Absolutely, Google groups will be great!
Great idea Qoyyuum!

Imtalking ∙ 42 weeks ago

I'm in!, we can also add each other on Google+ for the updates.

Bikramjit Sarker ∙ 42 weeks ago

I don't use G+ much. Goggle groups will be good !

Ivan Aliku ∙ 42 weeks ago

Google groups or G+, please let's decide on a platform so we could get going when we kickstart.

Ivan Aliku ∙ 42 weeks ago

Guess I came a bit late, but I feel i could be part of this. My blog is htp://ivanaliku.blogspot.com
Had network issues and just resolvd it.:-)

Bikramjit Sarker ∙ 42 weeks ago

We have got 8 members already..

Bikramjit Sarker ∙ 42 weeks ago

Great! now we have 8 members

Ivan Aliku ∙ 42 weeks ago

I would also suggest we add each other as friends so that we can send private messages on any new development.

Bikramjit Sarker ∙ 42 weeks ago

Facebook will be better for sending private messages

Binny Oinam ∙ 42 weeks ago

Hi All, let me the 9th guy. It all sounds interesting!

Samuel ∙ 42 weeks ago

that'd be great we are almost ten. i also write about website creation, programming skills tips, seo tips, driving massive traffic to your blog. bthemesandtricks.blogspot.com

Ivan Aliku ∙ 42 weeks ago

Where is our number 10 blogger??...
someone pick this spot.....

A Brainless Nod ∙ 42 weeks ago

*throws in hat* If the spot is still open, I'm definitely interested. Sounds like a great way to start networking, AND get constructive criticism!

Augis Barkov ∙ 42 weeks ago

Well, I guess that we have finished the first phase.

Tomorrow I will create the Google Group for our tribe and we will kick off.

Anyone who notices this thread later is, of course, encouraged to do something similar and create their own tribe :)

Augis Barkov ∙ 42 weeks ago

Let's see whom we've got on board.
Please, see this as introduction.
The discussion itself we will transfer to Google Group.

1) Ivan Aliku - "Make money online blogging"

I think that it will not be a problem for most of us to contribute something to discussions on this blog.

2) Bikramjit Sarker - "A place of tricks and hacks"

Same goes here. Being bloggers ourselves we will be able to make comments (or at least ask questions, which is also very important!)

3) Kader Loco - "English songs in Other Languages"

I am not sure how active Kader is. But we will see.
As for comments - music is international - just go with the feelings :)

4) Samuel - "SEO, Traffic"

Seems somewhat like autoblog. Is it so, Samuel?
Anyway, it shouldn't be a problem as long as Samuel's comments on our blogs are genuine and not "auto-comments" ;-)

5) Abdul Qoyyuum - Didn't find the URL, but I am sure I have visited his blog and the last article was related to JAVA programming language.

Now, I don't know if everyone has enough background to comment on more technical blogs related to programming. We will discuss it (it wouldn't be fair if Abdul commented on our blogs without getting enough feedback for his own blog).

6) Obasi Miracle - Technical Tips and Tutorial.

Also, looks a bit as autoblog. But again - as long as Obasi writes genuine (and not "auto") comments, it's not the problem for our tribe :-)

7) Im Talking - Blog just about everything.

And this is good - to have a break after all the technicalities :)

8) Binny Oinam - Another blog about random things from life.

Same goes here. Not a problem to comment.

9) A Brainless Nod - Just blog about Life.

I think it also doesn't require any special background to leave comments.

10) Augis Barkov - Viral Stories from Russian Internet.

Just read the story and leave comment :)

***

P.S. - Again - this is just introduction, and we will discuss all the things

Ivan Aliku ∙ 42 weeks ago

I'm loving this circle. Ready to give it my best shot.

A Brainless Nod ∙ 42 weeks ago

I'm liking this as well. We have different tastes and such, but I think the variety will help with constructive criticism and well allow each other to see what works and what doesn't. Not to mention the extra traffic and reading content other than our own.

Samuel ∙ 42 weeks ago

Let's get started

Augis Barkov ∙ 42 weeks ago

Guys! I have created the Google Group for our tribe.

Please drop me a message through http://redhotrussia.com/contact/
- so that I can send you the invitation by e-mail.

Let's start :)

Bikramjit Sarker ∙ 42 weeks ago

Sent! hope you invite soon.

Augis Barkov ∙ 42 weeks ago

By the way, already at this stage I expect that we will not have all 10 people joining.

This is a GOOD thing, however.

Those who won't make a little effort to join the group - probably wouldn't make enough efforts to leave comments :)

In any case - the group is created, discussions started and we will start "mutual commenting" from August 2.

At that time I will post here how many (if any) vacant slots we have, and other people will be able to fill the vacancies.

Bikramjit Sarker ∙ 42 weeks ago

How many members do we have now?

Augis Barkov ∙ 42 weeks ago

We have 3 now.
I expect it to be 4 or 5 by August 2 when we start.
It will be a good start. From there adding more members will not be difficult at all :)

Bikramjit Sarker ∙ 42 weeks ago

Can't we see members list on google groups?

Augis Barkov ∙ 42 weeks ago

Truth to be said - I have no idea.
But I am sure of one thing - it will take few days before we create our own routine.
I think that for the purpose of the tribe itself, we don't need too many functions: simple forum with ability to add topics, and make replies is more than enough :)

Samuel ∙ 42 weeks ago

I'm not able to send the email. when i click send it doesn't respond

Augis Barkov ∙ 42 weeks ago

I got something like 30 mails from you already :)
And sent you invitation.
You are already in the group - I can see you.

Bikramjit Sarker ∙ 42 weeks ago

It responds a little bit late i think

Samuel ∙ 42 weeks ago

Yes thank you Augis and Bikramjit i'm there now in the group

Bikramjit Sarker ∙ 42 weeks ago

We have got only 3 members now 7 remaining and i am sure Ivan Aliku will join soon. May be he his busy with his work now or else he would have joined already.

Samuel ∙ 42 weeks ago

Yeah I think so

A Brainless Nod ∙ 42 weeks ago

I'm still learning Google+, but sent the email. Hopefully will see something soon.

Shalu Sharma ∙ 42 weeks ago

I had a look at your site and even left a comment. I thought that your blog was interesting. I therefore would be interested. Feel free to get in touch. Thank you.

Augis Barkov ∙ 42 weeks ago

Thanks! The favor returned :)
I think that in few days I will send you invitation - since I believe that not everyone who initially expressed the wish to participate will return to check this thread.

Adna Cristina ∙ 42 weeks ago

I am very interested get in touch...

Adna Cristina ∙ 42 weeks ago

Sorry but I don't think it is for me... My mistake!! But your idea is great!

Augis Barkov ∙ 42 weeks ago

No problem :)

Shalu Sharma ∙ 42 weeks ago

Indeed Angus. You've got my email

Ivan Aliku ∙ 42 weeks ago

Awaiting email confirmation.

Augis Barkov ∙ 42 weeks ago

Sent.

Ivan Aliku ∙ 42 weeks ago

Yet to get it. what's the subject?

Augis Barkov ∙ 42 weeks ago

OK, I see you got it and joined the Google Group!

We are 5 registered members now.

This is exactly what I expected :) - since these are exactly those 5 (out of initial 10) who were active in discussions.

I got 2 additional requests to join the group - so I will send the invitations, and we will be 7!

Ivan Aliku ∙ 42 weeks ago

Great work Augis. I'm still going through the terms of use.

Augis Barkov ∙ 42 weeks ago

OK, we are starting!!

Ivan Aliku ∙ 42 weeks ago

OK! I post my link, waiting for your Augis and the rest of our members

Milan Aryal ∙ 41 weeks ago

Wow..best of luck to all you guys ...this is definitely good idea..!

Jonteesoy ∙ 41 weeks ago

Wooooh! hold your horses! Is there still spot for me to join in the group?

This is a great Idea! Hope I can still join the group.

Augis Barkov ∙ 41 weeks ago

Thanks for your interest, Jon.
I'll be in touch with you later...

***

Anyway, for general information - we have 7 members right now, 5 of them are active.

So, possibly it will take some time before the tribe becomes a real group of people who are committed to help each other.

The beginning, however, is very promising!

Jonteesoy ∙ 41 weeks ago

thanks man, I'll just wait for your sms.

OmegaDSX ∙ 41 weeks ago

I'm interested , great idea to help other readers speak out :)

Binny Oinam ∙ 41 weeks ago
