try putting your ads below the header, it will be seen more and will get a high chance of being clicked

i can see that. technology is a great area to blog in because almost everyone uses it in some form or fashion. my blog is more niche oriented and deals with fashion.

My site is going well. I use adsense but also use tagclouds...which are more profitable than adsense.

It is not enough traffic to make money from adsense. There are many factors to our blog visitors interested to click the adsense link, including the layout and visitor attraction will provide something in adsense

I've also been wondering about google adsense. How many pageviews do you even need to qualify? And I've heard that they have a lot of rules and people have had issues with them, but nobody ever says anything specific.

Stylegoddessblog ∙ 18 weeks ago

hi, kalamityjane. if you have a blogger blog then you can set up a adsense account now. my only advice once you set it up and have ads running on your blog is to make sure not to click your own ads or have people click them on other computers either. if you follow that guideline then you will have no problems with it.

To answer your question...you don't need a certain pageview to qualify. there are rules but most people who have had issues with them is because when google ran a check of their blog, they found questionable activity which goes back to the advice I mentioned earlier once you set up one. hope this helps, thanks.

I guess most of the bloggers forget that Audience is more important then Traffic..
Traffic can give an instantaneous output but a loyal audience will open door for life long business.

Very, well said Dude! :D
Traffic will come sooner as long as you have that loyal readers!

I've tried to sign up for Goodle Adsense twice and got rejected both times.

Why is this?

Is it something to do with my layout or blog content? It didn't say either time.

hi, the beauty board.

i went on your site and it appears that you have an adsense ad running on your site. i was going to say have you had a adsense account before and had it revoked. but it appears that all is well. thanks.:)

We'd love to have Google adsense in our blog, but we're using wordpress.com. Good thing wordpress has wordads.

I dropped adsense for a local ad network, nuffnang. My blog is more for local readers and I found that I get no clicks at all (or almost none) even with over 100 uniques a day. So I Switched it with nuffnang where I earn per number of unique views. It's still small but at least something is coming in. I'll have to grow my blog more to be able to build something long term from it but in the meantime, I'm liking the per number of views type ads rather than the per click ones.

I used adsense on my other blog though but it dropped last year after all the google algo updates. I'm reviving it after cleaning some stuff. But back when it was at 200-300 something uniques a day, I was earning maybe half a dollar to .75 per day with adsense. But it was an earn money type blog so it had fairly high CTR. It was a local blog though so the per click rate wasn't that big.

I have just started using adsense at the first of the year with my youtube account and it's made me $12 so far. I guess that's ok.

Stylegoddessblog ∙ 18 weeks ago

trust me when i say, that's more than okay. that's awesome. i have had my blog for over a year now and i didn't see $12.00 until like my ninth month of blogging. so whatever you are doing...keep up the good work!

I have a couple of buddies who are using adsense on their niches site. I must admit - they are doing extremely well.

I was about to sign up for adsense before they started banning webmaster's accounts etc.

Since things have cooled down, I believe I will apply soon. Congrats to everyone who has had success with adsense!

Currently I m using my friiends' adsense account.

How much money you make depends on how much traffic you get. For most of us, myself included, blogging is a hobby. I use my Adsense money for "extras" but it is not enough to pay my rent and bills.
