For me, blogging is there to help improve my writing and connect with potential websites I would want to write for in future. I'm very serious about writing as a career so blogging is a serious hobby for me.
What about you guys? Is blogging a fun way to meet other people with similar interests or are you serious about being noticed as a writer/blogger?
My blog started out as something productive and creative to do in my free time. I can't really see it becoming a full blown career, but it is something that I enjoy doing. Communicating and finding people from all over the world with a similar interest is always fun.

My blog is just my creative outlet. I'm serious about it as I plan ahead and have a schedule of drafts that I post 4 times a week.
In no way would I be able to make money from my blog but it helps me share my opinions, find like minded people, showcase my photography and more!

I'm the same - I have several drafts saved before posting to ensure that even when if I have a bad week/day where I don't want to write, I'll publish something.
Nah, I wouldn't be able to make money from mine, but I just hope to make connections with others and see where they take me :)
Well my blog started with a look at the sky and then came up with my first article which is called "the parachute". Well I just write for sharing my opinions with other people in the same age range. So I'm basically talking to the youth to share our ideas beliefs and opinions about issues.

It's a fun and creative hobby for me. I do like to write and be humorous but can also cover serious subjects. Not looking to make money, but using it as an outlet to exchange ideas, sharpen my writing skills, and meet new interesting people out there with their own blogs. Plus, I find it fun!

I enjoy blogging and love the writers I've met, but am writing a book and have been told I have to develop a "platform." Good gravy. I had no idea what I was getting into!
Ah yes, I'm currently mapping out ideas for a novel, and it is best to build an audience before you get your book out there :)

hobby. just a way for me to get some thoughts out and maybe have a discussion with people i'd never have had the opportunity to interact with otherwise.
I started blogging as a hobby. I continued blogging for a year and half, Now I want to take blogging seriously as a career but I am still figuring out how. Recently I was thinking of making a collaboration with other bloggers to create a site which was authored and run by different races, guess I am really taking blogging as a career.
A hobby....it started off with sharing my work with my friends through albums in facebook till they pushed it further to share it with the world..as much as I like to make my friends smile it was more fun to do so with people in general! :D
I would say it started as a hobby - I love writing! But now I use it as a marketing tool for my small business as well as showcase my handmade items. It's quite effective as I have gained new customers through blogging :)

I take it as a very serious hobby that I would like to see become something more. I work very hard at it, have a set schedule, and am very persistent. If something becomes of it, I'll be very happy, but until then, I'm more than content to just write for the sake of writing, and enjoy the fact that people do enjoy what I write.
Same. It's great habit to get into as a writer - writing everyday is a hard thing to force yourself to do sometimes, so it's good to write certain posts in advance for days when you write very little.

hobby is just something you do when you're bored, so i'd say it's more of a passion. apparently, i've been suffering from bloggers/writers block lately. it's really a no joke when you need to write something but words just won't come out. or when they do, they're just too platonic and specious; sometimes, even digressive. i choose to write for the benefit of inspiring people in the deepest sense and providing information that are thoroughly researched. and when i couldn't find anything interesting to say, it's utterly frustrating. so by then, blogging becomes just a hobby when all you can do is prattle and post unnecessary images.
I'm mostly blogging due to hobby as I really love food and at the same time I'm always thinking about crazy stories so what better way then to share it with a little bit of fun lol
It was lately that a friend of mine pointed out that is could help into me my future editing work, so I guess in a way it is help to improve my skills for me future career...
